I know there are a number of speedrunners planning to race for world first and world records when Classic comes out next year.

I'd like to try to create a more formalised set of rules for those competing in order to foster competition across all servers and give a gold standard for what constitutes a legitimate run.

We will do that as soon as WoW classic comes out officially. But it's a different game. We will probably use speedrun.com/classicwow for it and make up categories for it :)
