I believe Quit & Continue should be its own catagory, if it's to be allowed. Since the catagory itself uses an in-game timer, using a continue or getting a game over means that timer resets back to wherever your continue is. I could use that logic and just keep dying & resetting in the Twin Victim hallway until I get a good time, for example.
Also, it makes each reset unnecessarily painful as you have to click Continue multiple times before you start your run.
You can also beat the game once if you have trouble editing the files. A bit annoying, but it is a solution.
Please don't say that I don't care; I grinded that time, it pains me to have to even consider refute my time. Thing is, I'm not gonna get terribly upset if it does get removed because I had suspicions about it in the first place. My point is, now that people have established times in this version, it seems unfair to take it away from myself and other runners at this point. At this point, it should probably stay. I have my gripes with it, but at this point, nobody complained about it when it was first being ran. I recall there being hesitation among myself and a couple other runners, but no action was taken against it.
Basically, I feel this discussion is relatively mundane and the people who run this version overall don't seem to oppose it enough to actually repeal it. We should find a way to address the "how to acquire it" issue though. I've gotten that question more than once and I can only say "I got it through legal means through the wonders of the internet" dudsLmao
It's hard for me to vote no on the chinese version, since it pretty much means refuting my spot on the boards and the time I spent grinding it, but I've always said that china doesn't feel legit. I just wish a lot more discussion was done before I was given the go-ahead to run this.
I vote no, but make sure that this is properly looked at before the ultimate judgement is passed.
People have different techniques for mashing as well. Some spam it as fast as they can, others time it. WIth the GL, I do what I call a "double mash", where I press the fire button twice right as she raises the grenade launcher. No one has a 100% consistent way to quickshot, but some techniques are more consistent than others. Also, the quickshots at the clock tower are a tad bit slower than the ones at the worm (I think because of the camera angle), so keep that in mind when practicing.
