That it skips the hidden boss Cine?

I was not expecting it to be an hour of time-saving haha thats actually insane. It definitely doesn't feel like it during a run, but any of us who ran it know its a lot. Also with that find, thats really interesting...

Okay just going to update everyone (and thank you to those who tried helping) I did figure out what was going on. I never would have known this directly from what the site says but, under your Profile Settings, General, and "Disable custom themes [?]", it states: "On Night Mode you may see custom themes on games, etc. If you select this, they will be disabled."

I had to disable this. I think the wording threw me off or something, maybe make it at least disabled by default? I never messed with these settings before, and just recently started experiencing this issue a few months ago. I am probably just dumb with how this comes off, but I took it as: If I am using Night Mode, enabling this makes the games themes show, not custom themes (as in user-specific or something). I thought custom themes were our themes not game pages themes.

Nonetheless, I figured it out, thanks again.

It has a primary color set, panel color, and even a background color set. Yet it just uses my users default on every page on this site. The only time i see game's themes is if im mod and click edit theme. then it appears.. then goes away once i move away. :/

thread: The Site
United Statesshade_the4 years ago

Did both of those multiple times with no luck. Like I said, it appears with everything I have set up but only when clicking Edit theme, which is very weird. Yet no pages have it. No pages on this site even have it and the people Ive talked to dont see it either. Everything is the same green and black theme with no images or logos or stuff.

So I have tried changing multiple game's themes for months now, and whenever I go to the "Edit theme" tab, everything shows, but as soon as you go anywhere else, it goes back to the bland default stuff, black and green. What exactly am I doing wrong here?

The time it takes to do all that youd probably just have been easier to sit through the cut scene than deal with all the downsides and time taken to do it xD

Now all we need to do is find more ways to lose height before reaching the tunnel and boom.

I use https://ojdproject.com/ (Open Joystick Display). It is kind of meant for use with OBS which is nice and has an okay amount of customization as well. Never had an issue yet! It even has retro system controller layouts.

And for those interested in what he is referring to, here is some of the practicing of the episode 7 air walk skip as we improved it

But this doesnt answer at all how that mini boss got hit OoB still D:

thread: Remember Me
United Statesshade_the4 years ago

So I tried recreating this, and I could not do it just trying to hit them into the object that they go through to hit the OoB mark. And in the original it looked like he got hit by one of his own allies that knocked him OoB. So still not sure how to get this consistent xD though in my video instead of the guy doing the normal animation of getting hit, he just slides into the wall. Only special thing I noted. When that other video, it really seems like he got hit by his ally, so lets say he did, he could have slid into it bc he got hit against that sign? Not sure if this is the key to it but its all I got sorry

Tested second zorn again, manage to find a couple interesting things. I got him to not go into his jump attack animation when I broke an arm due to him being in an animation of throwing a box, but then also not being able to find me visually. Sadly before I tested if you could even damage his arm, he saw me and jumped. I got him as far into a corner as I could but still nothing in terms of making a skip for getting him out of bounds. I did punch an enforcer through a wall though. This is just more confirmation that this is something we need to look into!

Here is a short clip from my run showing it:

thread: Remember Me

Going to leave this here for now until I come back to it, or someone else picks it up. My innitial theory was correct in that there can be a large time difference in attack animations. But what I was not expecting was the leading/base combo hit of X or Y starts, have many different possible animations themselves unlike the actual combo chain pressens themselves. This drastically changes things, but this is a short video of part of the testing I was starting. And also here is the documentation Traivlin made himself from the information from this video.

I just wanted to compile it here for future reference once I get more time or someone else would like to take over :) As for now I want to focus on doing full runs plus I have other things going on that take a large portion of time currently. Big thanks to Traivlin for the help so far with this, in game as well as on the editing for it.

It was mostly his animation that was in the wall and some of his foot. But it was basically the same thing you did but I chose a corner so there was more things to clip into than just a flat wall. But finding a way to get ourselves out of bounds is an interesting idea. Doing it without console stuff or whatever you did (not sure still xD ) is the main goal now then. I guess also playing around with trying to get him out of it too is the other goal.

Is there a way to make it consistantly skip the Zorn mini cut scenes during the fight or was it random that it happened for you?

Is it worth skipping straight to the leaking brain instead of stopping where we do now in the air walk is another question I am wondering? This i guess is only worth considering if a Zorn skip isnt found though.

Again amazing work and also a great video to watch while i sat down to eat :D thank you

I know exactly what you mean. I have recorded a lot of footage but I have not been able to edit it and break it down because I'm out of town. It was faster alone but more noticably faster in a chain, at least by the example animations. The lag from hitting could actually neutralize it a lot.

United Statesshade_the4 years ago

Movie% cracked me up. So I tested it a bit, and I had the second zorn (the white one in episode...6 or 7?) And I had him literally in a wall , but it did nothing. Even tried using the animation to get him even farther in a wall. Conclusion, you can definitely get them in what appears OoB but it didn't really do anything. It could be possible that it's very specific location they need to hit OoB though. The second ones fight I was in the corner by a box. I sat and just dodged his attacks over and over until I triggered an animation. And then he acted normal.

So I finished unlocking everything, and certain animations DO go off faster than other animations. I still have not figured out what is so special about the other DLC moves yet lol. But I am slowly making a video going over each animation. This should speed everyones fights up! Just updating this topic to confirm. I know the DLC is allowed and is not seperate category, so the spin kick really makes it worth getting even if that is the only DLC move that is special, because it lowers all foes hit by 1 hit, speeding all the chains up. Out of the few animations I have tested so far, it seems after maybe a few 2 hit chains I saved a second just with 1 animation swap out for a faster one. This of course will not change anything drastic such as swapping in a healing pressen instead of a damage one because the more damage the faster period. But these small things can add up over a 3 hour run. Will probably be a lot more noticable in comparing 2 runs where the glitches are done without a person messing up, and the speed mainly coming from the fights and pathing.

Lol hold up. Thats hilarious and also interesting. Okay well when I go through episode 3 again I will start toying around with this. IDK if it will be the same however because he was getting knocked back into the wall from autos. But what im thinking is possibly getting him in a position before one of the arms break so he does the large leap into the ground right be an OoB area. Also, now need to consider where else this could be possibly used o.o

I am farming PMP to finish unlocking the Pressens and tried to beat the Zorn without the JB, and I could not. I tried spamming my brains out, I even tried using the DOS S-Pressen a few times. Nothing.

One thing I appreciated was you documented all the stuff you found even if it was the most random stuff ever haha. Worth doing yeah! If there is a way to skip the Junk Bolt use I agree to keep pushing that limit. But I just cannot think of a way to do it, will definitely go play around with this once I figure it out too.
