Awesome RyanWalker1, congrats on the run! I don't have time today but should have time tomorrow to set up the page.
Exciting to have new people and avenues to speedrun added to the community. Welcome!
I suppose emulated runs could be accepted if you were using a guncon or lightgun on a monitor and could prove the operations were essentially the same.
However, we could create another category to provide space for emulated runs performed with a mouse. I'm assuming it'd faster for sure.
If you don't have any recording equipment, I have found the link below is one of best items for recording older games, provided you have a computer that can handle recording. You'll also need RCA Splitters and cords to split the video from the console to the TV and recording unit.

You technically do not a time splitter for TC because In-game time is shorter and more important but some people like to use a splitter to see how they are doing in the run. Speedrun.com may have some forums on how to start speedrunning with tips and links, etc. so I would suggest roaming the site a bit as well.
Yo where's @tablecloth56 when you need him? obvi @WatdaFx41 is cheating guys!!!!!
depending on what system your capturing, the GV-USB2 can be a very good option. pretty amazing capture for the price and you can continue to use it even if you upgrade to hdmi or component capture.
Hey guys,
Here's a link to a co-op run I did on Friday, 8/16.
Info is in the link. I'd love to mod for this one too!
Thanks!
Alright, I've added the subcategories to the main page! If other pedal runs get submitted to a different category, I'll add the subs at that time.
After some more thought and exploring other games, I think we'll just do a sub-category under console runs for now that includes some sort of foot pedal system.
Feel free to add your thoughts if you think this should change.
Hey everyone,
I wanted to bring a thought to the community on runs that are performed on PS2 but use some sort of foot pedal system to emulate an Arcade run.
IMO, these should be counted under Arcade runs for the sake of fairness, as the buttons on the gun are inevitably faster than using a foot pedal. However, we may need to solidify more rules surrounding distance from the tv, etc. to properly emulate the arcade machines. Further still, the games differ graphically from Arcade to console, do they run the same speed, etc?
Or do we just create another type of run in general?
The main run in question is z0d420's as he used a foot pedal. I am hoping to have some sort of foot pedal set-up in the future so I think we should start the discussion now in case more runs roll in.
As the community grows, hopefully, we can agree on something!
I have also found that you are playing on a controller and touch up or down at all, it will cancel the dash. Just a thought!
As frames would be most accurate, I think it would be ideal for emulated runs. Then we could rely on timers otherwise
That's my 2 cents as least!
Isn't it possible to time based on the number of frames? I think that would be the best way.
Hey guys,
I've started doing runs for this and will hopefully post a run when I can record again. In the meantime, here's a discord for the game where we can toss around some ideas. I hope more than 1 - 2 runs will be posted soon.
See you out there!
It shouldn't expire, but here's another.
Can I talk my shit again?
Someone brought this up on the TC3 forum, so I just made another
I used my learning skills and made a new one!
I don't think we do. I'm not sure what happened to the old one.
I can make one but I'm a noob and have never made a group before :)
I haven't played it, nor am I a mod, but I believe it's 4 player and has new enemies and weapons so I would argue that it's not so much a graphically upgrade, but a somewhat different game.
Not sure if you'd post times for it here or on it's own page. I would assume it's own page though.
geurge, I've added the category so feel free to submit the photos!
