Click the hourglass in the site menu, click "View All" to see your pending actions, click on the run in question, click the three dots in the top-right, then click "Delete run" in the drop-down menu.

That's true, especially considering that the boards are mostly empty :P

But seriously, you will be surprised how quickly you improve, as long as you don't get impatient.

kirkq will. He checks that thread on a weekly basis. It has been most Sundays, lately. Also note that it's Thanksgiving holiday in the US, so it may take longer than usual.

That special thread can be found here: http://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/63nr7

Someone actually already asked about that game, though: http://www.speedrun.com/The_Site/thread/63nr7/107#mapgw

"But some games dont want to be associated to meme games, which makes this something i dont think should be added."

How many games and how many people? Is this enough of an issue that the idea of a Mario Series should be entirely discounted, based solely on a pretentious conjecture?

@kirkq

As for a "Mario Bros." series, I think it could be accurately titled "Arcade Mario Bros.", or something to the effect of describing the gameplay (single-screen, etc.) The title was originally released for arcades, and other versions are based on the standard arcade gameplay.

Something happened :D

It opens in the tray of your task bar:

Now that I downloaded it again, I remember how I used it. I was playing a game that was already windowed, and I wanted to make it borderless. It should work for a fullscreen game, as well. I'll try it with a game of mine to see if it works that way, too.

The NES community is fairly cohesive. I think a general answer would be appropriate for most NES games. For example, we all know that adding s-video is allowed. We all know that over clocking is not allowed. Changing the location of the power button is likely not something that would be different from game to game. It would definitely be a good idea to ask an NES-head directly on social media, if you can.

@zewing

When you say a "better platform to race", are you talking about SRL? Do you mind explaining what you feel are the drawbacks of SRL? I've never heard anyone mention their thoughts about SRL, so I'm curious what you think, if that's what you were talking about.

@cooopercrisp

Depending on the game, different regions or platforms can have significant differences in gameplay.

But now that I think about it, those cases might warrant a separate category, rather than ranking them against each other.

That makes sense. I personally try not to differentiate between "practice" and "runs". Obviously, there is a difference of intent, but I try to keep the same mentality. I do practice individual segments of a game, but if I make a run attempt from beginning to end, I see it as simply practicing the full game, in a way. It's not like basketball, where there is a distinct separation between practice and competition. Or like cross-country where there is time-trial training at race pace, then a race. Aside from races, speedrunning is kind of all practice.

There are also things like GDQ, which I would categorize as "performances". A performance can be considered distinct from practice, as well.

But yeah, I totally understand your feeling.

I don't rage.

I started speed running so that I could acclimate myself to repeatedly failing. My goal was to use my speed running experience to improve my mentality when playing poker, and it has been largely successful.

I also think that there is a big difference between "not raging" and "relaxing". I agree with Drakodan's sentiment. Speed running is not a relaxing experience for me, but that doesn't mean that I'm stressed out. It just means that I am focussed and engaged in the task.

I literally just searched for Gunmetal Arcadia, expecting it to not be here and then to send you a joke tweet about when someone will run it. I saw you tweeting about it a lot, before the release :D

The internet is always faster than me.
