I moderate http://www.speedrun.com/Anodyne , and I'd like to add a column to each speedrun that notes which version of the game it used. I can't figure out how to do this at the /editgame url.

I see there there is a "patch" column at http://www.speedrun.com/hollowknight

Alternatively, how do I search this forum for a previous answer to this question?

I just created a new category for Any% Cheats, because "common knowledge" is that cheats are banned from all categories in all games on this site unless explicitly allowed.

Do cheats really deserve a new category, or should it count as a new trick that obsoletes the old Any% route?

Since proposing a "148%" category in another thread, I've since then found some unused code in the game that defines a 200% completion achievement. The name "200%" and the terms for the achievement are both defined by the game's code, so it's not as arbitrary is my 148% category.

Have 49 cards, 10 health upgrades, the 3 broom extensions, and the 13 secrets, and then defeat Briar. The achievement is awarded during Briar's dying animation.

For the sake of consistency with other categories on this site, I propose moving the time-end event to the fade out transition that triggers the credits instead of Briar's dying animation.

Some things that are not explicitly included in this category: the cardboard box, the jump shoes, the 3 large keys, the broom (however, you probably need the broom to get the health upgrades from defeating bosses), any small keys, and defeating Sage.

Note that Secret 11 requires 1h49m20s of waiting. This sucks, but you gotta do it.

Note that this category is not possible glitchless, because Card 49 requires either the Wiggle Glitch or a void hole warp.

The definition of this category is to get everything that shows up in your pause menu.

Regarding the name:

100% = 37 cards + 10 health upgrades + 4 brooms + 3 large keys = 54 items.

148% = 54 items + 11 more cards + 13 secrets + 1 shoes + 1 cardboard box = 80 items.

It makes sense to me to move the shoes and box to the 100% definition since they're not post-game items, but as I understand the 100% definition as it already exists (even defined by the game itself for the Steam achievement), those items are not included. So I put them in the next definition instead.

Regarding Card 49:

Card 49 does not go into your inventory (there is no space for it), but it does increment your card count when you look at your save file from the main menu. It also allows you to open the 49 card gate. Actually, there's a card counter in your cards menu that does increment. I'm not so sure now whether this "item" should count.

Consider also that in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the 100% category does not include the 37th heart piece (or any further heart pieces). It also does not require you to get 65535 Gold Skultulla tokens, even though that would technically be possible. The purpose of 100% isn't to get the highest stats possible; it's to get everything the developers put into the game on purpose.

Regarding Secret 11:

This secret takes 1h49m20s of waiting. This sucks, but I still think it should be part of the run, because you gotta get everything.

You can get out of bounds in the blue cliffs dungeon by jumping past a door tile. It doesn't use the wiggle glitch, but it should still be banned in glitchless.

Edit: the rules have been updated.

I'm curious what an All Bosses run would look like, since the category heading is here on the site. Does anyone have a demonstration video, or even a more detailed description? I'm assuming it would start like an Any% run by running past Briar to enable the swapper. Then you go around and defeat all the bosses. Do you have to defeat Briar last?

Currently the definition of 100% is "Collect all Heart Containers and Cards". Is there a reason this doesn't include broom upgrades? And we could also mention the shoes and the three large keys. Or are those left out of the definition on purpose?

I don't even remember if it's possible to get 100% glitchless. Does the glitchy red square chest in the nexus count for 100%? speaking of which, do any of the non-card easter egg items count for 100%, like the golden poop? what about the thing where you have to wait for a long time for a bunny to move really slow? (I think I know what I'm talking about...)

What if I wanted to run a category where you get everything possible before defeating Briar and no wiggle glitch? Would that category get a name or be interesting to anyone else? I'm thinking about running this game, but most of these categories are uninteresting to me because they're all so broken :/ (I know speedrunning is about breaking games, but it doesn't have to be all the time). I guess glitchless any% would be my choice, but a higher% category would be preferable. Anyone else care about this kind of thing?

Middle-clicking on a category opens the category in the current tab instead of a new tab. Right-clicking a category does not have an option for "Open link in new tab". I'm in Chrome.

My suggestion is to make the category heading hrefs use the actual hash url of the category (instead of "javascript:;"), and change the onclick handler to only respond to button 0.

It would be better for both of us if I could load the categories I was interested in all at once in different tabs so I didn't have to switch back and forth between categories and ask the server for the content each time.

This limitation is pervasive throughout the site, including the home page list of recent runs (try right-clicking on a time).

I have some experience in front-end development and would love to help out with the site where I can. This is my github profile: http://github.com/thejoshwolfe
