I honestly don't know how to compare real hardware to DOSBox (I barely know how to compare DOSBox to DOSBox), but @ChuckGrody has submitted a run on an actual DOS PC and it cuts the WR time down by 60%.
I don't know enough to know how to handle this. Where do we go from here? Limiting cycles on DOSBox was an easy way to handle things before, but should the restriction just be lifted so that hardware can be supported? Looking for some guidance here.
Can we separate console and PC versions, because of the difference in level layouts and routes, given the glitches that are available? I'm interested in checking out the PC version as well, but they are too different to share a board imo.
Has there been any research done to determine what causes this or what steps can be taken to lower the probability of the epilogue loading without collision, causing you to fall through the floor? I've done many speedruns of this game on amazing pace and I can't complete any of them because I get this glitch with near 100% frequency.
How is Clendenon finishing runs? I want to know what we are doing different.
I'm not sure where these times are coming from. It seems to me that the only time that really should matter is IGT, though real time still seems relevant (the rules should probably better explain what the start and stop point of RTA timing is, something like "start timer when you press start before level 1, time ends when you lose control at the end of level 25")
Can the timing start from the title screen rather than "Stage 1". It is fairly arbitrary when to start the splits (when you see "stage 1" flying in? When they settle in place? When they disappear?) and it is technically starting after you've already taken control (since you are controlling your character in the tutorial, and which character you choose there can take different amounts of time).
In short: is it possible for me to load another Wii U's NG+ HW file onto mine, and if so, is anyone willing to share. I'd like to run NG+ coop, but the grind is reeeeeeeeeeeeal.
How can this leaderboard even be considered valid when it doesn't have the one possible midrange category (Waifu). Rules: End timer on having your proposal accepted. Look into your heart. You know this to be the one true category!
