I'm interested in an Arc1% too.

I have a pet with gargantuan and with a friend got all the way through Mooshu in about 8 hours. Without that you are limited to tough TCs, which may extend that to like 11 hours I guess, and then 15 total for dragonspyre perhaps? We were just playing on balance and myth, not choosing specific best class or anything.

You could allow 1 or 2 day-long-breaks after the end of a world if the runs taking too long is a concern.

Edit: DS took us about 4.5 hours and celestia took us about 5.5 hours. We weren't solely focused on speed.

That makes sense, especially for level runs where you will go for many attempts in the same room. Then for full level runs, well not many people run those anyway but the records will be smashed anyway even if you included the setup time. I agree with you.

if you're having to do setup to skip stuff, I think that time should count towards it

Oh yeah this was over an hour of trying stuff, maybe over 2? I don't remember. 1117 shots total lol. May do more strat hunting before practicing.

Been a few years since I've played. I've held the full-game WR and level WRs from Forest through Ancient at different points. I played pirate like once when it came out, and then hadn't played for years since. Did a casual playthrough of worms yesterday with a friend and tonight I did a strat runthrough of levels. Then, I watched the current WR to see what the current strats were. I didn't want to seed my mind so I wouldn't gravitate towards current strats, in order to hopefully find different/faster ones.

So I believe I've found some better strats, and may try to put together a fast (WR) run.

Here's what I found that was faster:

5, 7, 8, 11 (waaay faster), maybe 12, potential 17 strat (waaay faster, too difficult?), also a different 17 that's maybe faster and doable. Not saying what the strats are yet, but maybe you'll see them in a video :^)

Here's what I found that was slower:

9 (nice! didn't think of different level hole), 16 (a little slower, I didn't find a HIO bounce I did a different angle and rock bounce which required a 2nd shot)

The rest of the holes were basically the exact same speed, though some strats were different.

Was thinking of speedrunning this game again. At times I held the WR for each of the first 6 maps and the entire game in classic. I see the game is slower with load times due to changes or something and there are different ones now. But I liked the way the old game looked and would want to compete on that, which you can do on steam.

We didn't have full game run submissions until ancient/6th map came out, it wasn't around during twilight. Also there weren't 3 maps when the game came out, I think only forest was out but maybe oasis was too. I started playing like a month after the game came out and only forest and oasis were out.

I don't like that the original times were ever removed in the first place. 6 maps were promised originally and is the base game. I don't have a full game time now but I wouldn't want old times removed.

Yeah, I used to upload splits. Hitting at the end of every hole got annoying so I just time the entire run now. Once we get the 6th course out and start doing full game, I'll probably split between finishing and starting each course. (So 11 splits... or maybe just 6)
