1.5.1 7754858790240817093 SSG No Structure - Was hoarding this seed for a year hoping to run the category myself, but its unlikely ill get around to it soon, due to life and hardware constraints. I came across it roughly a year ago when generating some seeds for the run. Posting a thread hoping this gets some attention for someone to use it, if so, please give credit, would be nice.
Run Outline - Spawn near Oak Trees in between a dip of 2 dirt hills, preferably directly in front of the tree closest to the Sand Biome. Get your apple and wood, run into the 1 block gap of sand and dig 1 block down, falling into a thin cave. If fast enough a water stream will flow for a short time to the left to jump down to, but is blocked shortly after by falling gravel. Regardless, jump down to the left, use a Creeper to get the 1 golden ore on the floor, then run and hide to the left of the ore for a safe dead end area, mine stone and make the Gapple.
Thanks in advance
@Lukinhas15 If you want to lower the WRs go for it, I don't own this game anymore on my DS.

I had suggested a ruling change for Story Mode cats concerning the following:
-
It seemed impractical to ban skipping missions, since in 100% you would need to redo missions when returning to the maps to further complete the other endings, which would seem unfair. In this reasoning, I'd want it to be consistent with the other Story Mode cats (Ending 1, 2, 3) since the 3rd ending isn't available to play until the 2nd is finished and so on with the 1st. Which brings me to my next point...
-
Someone playing with a save game data that has already seen all the endings will have them already available to revisit. This would be unfair if someone was running with a save game data that is yet to see a further ending as they must finish the current ending to unlock a further one, but the other person would have a further ending already available, removing the need to play the previous ending to unlock it. This could be abused by what settings were allowed to begin a run.
I had suggested the following route as a basis to change the rulings: Fresh file > Play to Ending 1 WITHOUT the option to Skip Missions > re-enter maps > Play to Ending 2 WITH Skipping Missons > re-enter maps > Play to Ending 3 WITH Skipping Missons (playing as far as the category requires)
I wiped the boards to begin the new rules, however I failed to realize that the only way to obtain a fresh save game data is to erase everything from your cartridge, removing all purchased items from the shop, thus killing the creativity for new strats and also removing all unlocked characters. This is even more impractical as the grind for unlockables is massive. So fresh file runs will not work for long term speedrunning.
I am writing this to address that I will be changing the Story Mode rules once again, hopefully coming to a solid middle ground in terms of rules.
The game will keep every mission marked as complete as a percentage even if you try to replay Story Mode, so 100% will be the only fresh save game data category. For this reason I may remove 100% all together as it would end up being a 5 - 10 hour run, which most people wouldn't want to run anyway.
Thank you for reading, this post mainly concerns the other moderators @chronoon and @Kaz0uya
I've been skeptical about how emulator runs would compare to irl DS runs, since I've never played the emulator before, however after watching an emulator casual playthrough on YT, I've changed my mind about them. This game is mostly touch screen so the mouse cursor would be the main source of control for emulator. I really want to get this speedrun some attention, so as of now, I'll be allowing emulator runs, so it's more accessible for new potential runners. This will be the only exception to this addition, that runs on emulator must show mouse cursor if possible.
