A guess i should have made it more clear that these aren’t all that useful. The first one can save a second or two but the second one can not save any time. I’m just showing you how the exploit really works. Me and my brother called it bomb hopping. Currently trying to find other tracks that could use this more effectively.
Just found this skip as well. If you pay attention to my laps it will say (3/5). after ¡ bounce over the wall, the lap still says 3/5 and then turn to 4/5 without even crossing the actual finish line. Must be because of how their hidden checkmarkers work. ¡ only hit lap 4/5 after ¡ hit a item box.
Set up for this can be easy. Managed to do this while in race a few times. Funny enough i did this by accident the first time. Someone shot a rocket at me and bounced me perfectly over the wall. It was awesome
I think I found something that might change a lot. I just have to figure out how to make it apply to speed running
Another thing to keep in mind when you do any platform skip, is that every platform after the first skip will try and push you off. Basically the game will treat the situation as if your on top of a rock with out holding on to anything. The games tries to kick you off instead of anchoring you to the platform. This is also true with the final platform. When you see the triangle the game still wants to kick you off the platform. So move/chalk as fast as you can before it to late.
From what I can tell it does seam pretty Instant for triangle. I will make a few separate videos of me completing with and without skips. Platform skips/one hand platform skips
One hand platform skip explanation.
Grabbing platforms with both hands and pulling your self up triggers a checkpoint and a small cutscene where you can’t chalk up your hands. Grabbing with one hand doesn’t trigger this at all thus cutting out the cutscenes and checkpoints. Probably saving around 1.5-2.5 seconds each platform (give or take).
Worm hole skips aren’t so good on zen bay due to the set ups taking more time possibly but I’ll need to study/test further.
I’m going to make an edit to this when we find out more about which vr head sets can use this. Now that we found out it also works for the Vive. I’m assuming it’ll work for others as well at this point. I really should have wait till my arm was healed to share this. Haha you all have a head start now.
I’m going to start running this game as soon as my arms feel better. I only got to play for 2 days before my arms starting hurting like crazy. Will be back at it by this weekend.
So I noticed that the timer doesn’t actually start at the green light so if you back up and build up full speed you can start the first lap of time attack just a few seconds faster.
I guess I didn’t really explain the first video I posted here but, I was trying to get a lap to trigger by starting the lap and turning around and driving straight through that wall. Normally you will get teleported infront of the finishline but with this method it was able to get it to spawn me back behind the finishing in hopes that it would count a lap. Obviously it didn’t work but because there is no skips In this game I’m just trying all the methods I can think. Also I’m not sure how the game tells how far you in a lap so this was just a test. I have a few other ideas I’ve been meaning to try but I work a lot so it’s hard for me to find time.

I just want someone to try and beat me. I’m not sure if this is the right way to put up and bounty but I’d like someone to win the money. I do my runs without gold wheels. I’m not sure if gold wheels are Allowed or not in these runs but good luck.

Here’s a few of the glitches I’ve come across. Only the one in “silver city” could actully be useful though. But Is it faster? well I’m not sure. you can actully ride on top of it until your character goes to far left or to far right, if you can stay above the actual floor of the tunnel you can actually ride all the way through without being respawned
