For some reason I thought you needed to spin the stick super fast for a good throw, that's why I use a GC stick. Is the throw distance determined by the number of spins mario does or the speed of the control stick? I know the distance for Bowser 3 can be far depending on the position. I might need to aim for the right bombs XD
How do you guys do em? I have to switch to a GC style controller and it can sometimes waste time to switch them.
Bunny Must Die? I'm gonna have to check out your runs, I love that game! (never beat it XD) GL fam.
I'm Spatial. I run Mario64 16 star (hope to learn other categories in the future) I've been casually speedrunning for a while (dabbled in GE and Metroid Fusion a year or 2 back) I've been running M64 for a year now and I hope to get better at it, make some friends, and do some races. Good to meet ya guys. Feel free to add me on social media or the M64 Discord if ya need a buddy.
This is off topic but, do we have a discord? I'm hoping to join a chat of some sort and make some friends. I don't personally know anyone else that speedruns XD
I personally twitch my finger to mash A. It makes me go CRAZY fast. Downside is, my wrist hurts if I do it too much, I also end up clipping into the wall by TTC so I have to moonwalk XD I'm probably gonna try 70 star myself after I get 20xx on 16. GL fam ;3
Thanks, I personally wait for Mario to hit the bottom of the stairs, then I spam it and try to time the presses with the "yahoo"s XD
I've seen some runners do super fast BLJ's on the 2nd floor stairs. I'm personally unable to gain that type of speed without twitching my finger on the button (which makes my wrist hurt after a while) is that what you need to do to get a faster 2nd floor BLJ? is it a major time save? I don't wanna screw up my wrist XD Thanks!
