The thing with glitchless in this game is that the only things you wouldn't do in Any% is the infinite Yoshi flutters. All other parts about SMG2 is considered tricks, not glitchess (except for a few things, but you do not see them in Any%). So basically, this would make like 10 stars longer. That's it. Maybe you would avoid one or two of them and do Boo Moon 1 and something more instead. Is that enough for a new category?
Naegleria is not the cop, he is obviously the mafia. Let's lynch him!
Thank you all for a great event! Putting all names here would be too much work, but all the people I hang out with if only for 10 minutes made this event amazing. See you all next year, hopefully!
Also special shoutouts to Pac, sorry for mocking your SR.com mobile WIP, it looked awesome, trust me. :)
Seems like I lost my outlet converter between my iQue and PAL. No big deal, but in case someone has it you know who it used to belong to.
I am signing up. This will be amazing! :)
Star Fox 64:
- "Kill Slippy%" A "joke" category that came through due to the community joking about it and later I uploaded a run on Youtube in the category. People took it seriously and since then the WR has been improved several times. Funny "not so serious" category that takes 20 seconds to complete. And hey, who doesn't want to see Slippy get killed? Donation goal: $500 (starting from the beginning of the marathon, not only in my run).
Also I would like to have "DO A BARREL ROLL" as a donation-thingy in my runs. Basically if someone donates at least, let's say 10 dollars, the donation reader says "Nickname donated X dollars with the message "DO A BARREL ROLL"". This I can do whenever during the entire run without it costing me time and it is one of the most known quotes from video game culture. I believe it would be a fun thing to do if possible. But the amount to donate should be low enough so people do it, but high enough so it won't be every 2 seconds.
Andypanther: You got it, I can have 2 (maybe 3) people in the couch so I can definitely take you in. I can also talk to other people when I arrive at ESA to fill the couch! But I'll take you in officially as a help-commentator right now, thank you!
So I actually don't know if there will be anyone interested/involved in Star Fox 64 speedrunning at ESA but if there are I would love to have someone in the couch with me. If you are not that involved in the speedrunning of the game but want to be involved, feel free to join anyways and ask questions during the game that I can answer.
I don't know if you want everyone who are going to commentate on a run to write it here even if we have already discussed between the runners but I will help out with The Wind Waker commentary on Demoon9's run. Makes it easier for you to have mics ready if anything at least. :)
Paid, let's get hyped!
Ah, I see. Thank you for explaining MLSTRM! :)
Edenal: I thought capture cards were brought from ourselves. I don't know what "Connector" and "HW Region" is. I am really not into hardware at all. I have my setup and cords, I don't know a shit about it haha.
I will take my iQue with SF64 installed on it with me. I might have more trouble getting my Dazzle there as well though. But I guess there are possibilities for someone else to share one with me at the marathon?
I will also bring some side games that aren't in the Schedule like Punch-Out Wii and Super Mario Galaxy 2, but I guess I won't have to submit this here.
Deposit made, would be cool to see it on the sheet so I won't have to worry about my runs being cut due to no payment.
I have, not trying to be rude towards you guys, but that missed sign up was an honest mistake. Therefore, I want to be sure I am not doing any other mistakes now.
But oh well, I only have myself to blame I guess. I'll make sure to do all I can to not miss anything important now.
So apparently I missed the "sign up for a less costly event", had no idea about it until it was too late. Is there anything else I need to do now? Except for running, of course, which I am doing.
Tompa: Demon will take a flight past my location, I have already asked him about it. The same with Drastnikov.
If there is anyone who will be driving or taking a train from northern Sweden I would be up for a car pool or just some chat on the train. I have no set date when to go but I would be able to go based on the opportunities that show up. I live in Hälsingland about 1 hour above Gävle so just let me know if you are going by. Either answer me in this thread or PM me on Twitch.

Created, run it. Any other categories can be created whenever. Just come with ideas.
So, I have a question. First of all I am surprised that Star Fox 64 Red Line passed the first cuts since you have been kind of against that game in the past, but I think it can be an entertaining run with a lot of conversations and speedrun related discussions, especially about the Star Fox series in general. My question though is, would it be possible to now, after the first cuts has been made, see if we could set up an iQue vs. N64 vs. VC race of Red Line? I would need two other people running it but it would show a lot of the differences in versions and is probably one of the best games out there where this is very visible for the crowd. N64 and VC would most likely finish about a minute after iQue.
