Over the years we've made great memories playing this game, and it's quite sad to see it go.

You have about 3 weeks left to get those runs submitted for us to review if you would like a spot on the Leaderboards before it's all said and done!

Sometimes you have to put effort into a game if you want to speed-run it.

My alternative is leagues better than what you want implemented in my opinion, and I believe the general consensus of the other runners, and moderator also agrees with that.

RTA is fine. Just spend a day or two unlocking what you need to do, if you actually want to speedrun this game seriously. I myself created a new account, and went through the process as well. It's really not that difficult.

They do lag, but not enough to where it could of been super suspicious.

From this post forward though, the mod team is going to start cracking down harder on such things. So please take the necessary steps not to submit such issues in the future. :)

There has been an increase in submitted runs lately, and we are glad that the community is expanding!

However, we are having players that are new to speedrunning submitting runs that are of bad quality, and need to be addressed.

Things to take into consideration when speedrunning PTCGO, & in general:

• You need to show 100% of the game screen. Any runs sent in with avatars, deck stats, timers, you & your opponent's hand, etc. blocked, will be rejected. Do not waste our time, and yours. It's your responsibility to not open any interpretation AT ALL of cheating.

• Please submit runs that include your timer going into the hundredths. If you fail to do this, we may place others above you on the leaderboard who have done this, but also have tied with you in terms of minutes, & seconds.

• You need to send in clear, crisp, quality videos of your speedrun. Videos that are of bad quality, constantly freezing, & lagging will not be approved. (It's 2021 now, and it's primarily a PC game. There is more than enough free software out there for you to capture your speedruns in HD. Atleast 540p, & up.)

It's your responsibility as a speedrunner to follow these rules as the community of speedrunning upholds the authenticity, and validation of speedruns with great honor.

It could potentially be stressful, and inaccurate to have individual times added up between AI Trainers.

A better way of going about this is creating a separate account(s) that is meant for speedrunning altogether.

As long as you don't manipulate the game, or use it in any form to take advantage of in-game mechanics, bugs, etc., you'll be fine.

The game is technically a downloadable client, making it a PC Game. Web entails that it's basically a web browser based game. Although it was at it's creation, it no longer is now.

Rules

• Only decks that may be gotten from codes may be used. *Decks obtained from the in game shop that are obtainable through code cards may also be used.
• Decks must be from the XY set or newer.
• Default/Starter decks given to you when making an account can not be used. These have a chance to rotate and be unobtainable.
• Timing starts when you click on the "Play" button to start your first battle.
• Timer stops when the victory screen for the last trainer you battle appears.
• You are allowed to use whatever Playmat Options you like.
• May only use one deck.
