How do you mean kill count? As in how many times you're allowed to die?
skins are fine, it's just a cosmetic change, no major differences for the run
Similarly to this guide, this was my thinking of an All Collectibles run. https://www.powerpyx.com/alone-in-the-dark-2024-all-collectible-locations/
- You Can’t Keep Me Out! – Open all of the safes and locks in the game. - Librarian – Read all the clues (with both characters). - Chatterbox – Talk with everyone until their dialogue is exhausted (with both characters). - Look At All the Free Stuff I Got! – Find all the lagniappes (with both characters).
We're going to be properly debating soon what the run will entail and we'll let you know as soon as possible!
Low%/pacifist can be considered if a general consensus ask for it. At the moment, the categories listed are widely agreed upon and discussed within the discord server. With this being such a brand new run, we'll see how things shape out to be!
@Cheevohnting - time ends as soon as the first frame of the secret ending starts.
We're leaving everything open at first and seeing what categories people are going to be running, plenty of oppurtunities for some records! If there are categories which flat out won't be run, we may end up removing some categories Making slight modification for character/ending which will remove some of the sub-boards that can't be achived. Outside of that, submit and run and have fun!
I've gone ahead and created a server for Alone in the Dark (2024). https://discord.gg/qKRR33GQSz
Here's the server. https://discord.gg/qKRR33GQSz i'll be hanging in the VC a lot today to get things grooving splitter wise and routing
I'm going to give another bash at the autosplitter, will keep all updated
I like the idea there Merkie! Definitely feel free to spruce up the boards a bit as those are good ideas for sure
We could make a 109% run category. Ideally if you wanted to run without DLC, you can just untick it in the Steam settings IIRC?
Hey again Myself and Bauglir have effectively made the load removal
Please test here (much require the Overcooked2.Data.xml in your Livesplit/Components folder if you don't already have it then grab here: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Nikoheartttv/Overcooked2_Autosplitter/main/Overcooked2.Data.xml)
To explain how we've processed this, it's looking for the inbetween of the visual transitions between the loading from and to a scene, directly between the two slide whistle sounds. I feel that this would also be the most effective way as it can be neatly replicated in manual timing/verification for console players to know when and where they need to calculate LRT
Great run, by the way, we are fixing the final split not splitting very soon. Will update in the News when its done. For the mean time, just manual split as soon as you see the IGT stop at the end
Have determined that once you've played a game through, you won't get decryptions for a NG+ playthrough, so have separated the categories thusly, it's a small time difference, but might as well
Hello! Myself and Bauglir have made an autosplitter for this game We'd love to get a few tester if you are down to help us before we publish to the Livesplit Autosplitter list
Things needed:
- https://github.com/Nikoheartttv/Overcooked2_Autosplitter - grab the two files from here and place into your Livesplit/Components directory
- https://github.com/just-ero/asl-help/raw/main/lib/asl-help (place this in your Livesplit/Components directory also)
All we'd need to know if if a full run from Tutorial to 6-6 works and splits fine. We may add in DLC parts to the Data XML but as there's no DLC runs on the board, we're not going to do that just yet unless peeps want it
Looking forward to your feedback!
I'm going to be going through all the audio files for the game and doing full audio analysis in a comparative to it's in-game usage to see if there is any noticeable faster spoken language to use for future runs. Soon as I've got some evidence, I'll follow up here with a spreadsheet!
So in my initial runs, I've noticed that I'm not getting anymore decryption prompts for the holograms, only the one dedicated one for the Outward part in Chapter 7:
If this is the case, I'm potentially going to open up a New Game+ and New Game categories provided we can find a way to reset the game data to give us these decryption prompts again.
As mentioned, it will also need testing for console for data reset
Hey all! We've got a Discord here for any runners of Deliver Us Mars.
Any complete discoveries of strats/tech, please share here in the forum upon verified discovery so we can have a easily searchable place for it all to document
