Ah poop... Want to get back into SMB1 I did the Japan tourney 2 years ago and it was SO much fun, too bad I missed this one.

When's the next Any% tourney?

Thank you so much for your response, I just did a 7.37 but I just took screenshots of my lap timer on my phone so I don't think that will count. Haha!

so once I have that cable to connect to my computer what's the program that is being used where you can see each level and the specific time goals for each one?

I even saw some of these programs that have a heart monitor which seems pretty awesome as well.

My last question is, what is the device that is connected to the cartridge that lets you practice and reset to specific levels? Is there a link from Amazon that you would recommend?

And I'm guessing you can't have that connected when you're going for a record run?

Anyways, I'm excited to keep on practicing and see if I can get myself in the top 500 eventually. :)

Are there any tutorials out there showing the best way to record a speedrun? Right now I'm just playing on my TV using an NES I think if I can get under 10 minutes I'd like to submit a time want to make sure I'm recording it properly.
