your best bet is do do the runs then tag them in the notes/info field that its a glitchless run so the mods can look at the run and see that message and deal with the submission accordingly. Most times boards will not have every category listed till there is at least a few runs to add to them as to limited the amount of empty categories to keep boards more organized and easier to navigate.

If and when SRDC gives us better moderation tools and functions for board management and specifically for IL's will be when we can look at future changes without the headache and mess that it is currently to setup and maintain them.

The only one thing I would be willing to do in this case is to allow runners to tag their runs if they use DLC weapons or not which will allow an optional filter for those wanting to compare top times with or without them to their preference when looking at the boards. But it will not be enforced as a separate at this time.

Game is IL based and DLC weapons do not make a player better then another. Excluding them makes no sense, and Were not gonna exclude Console runners either. There is no p2w issues with DLC in the game. (majority of the stuff is cosmetic and even outside those rare cases they are not better then other alternatives as the game relies more on your class and play style then any specific weapon)

Mutators will continue to not be allowed in runs because it makes it far to difficult to deal with and moderate a base line for them.

IL based games and runs like this are treated as NG+ always so any equipment, levels etc are permitted so long as they are apart of the game and officially released and available to get by anyone who owns the game without modify or cheating to gain or acquire an advantage.

The game is not even out yet, and why would anyone add a category for a limited timed online only beta? Seems like the dumbest idea considering the actual game will be released soon.

If someone was to do a run of all maps then we could look at adding it but, it won't be added before there is people willing to try and work it out and discuss it more. The other issue with all maps is that new maps keep coming out so that invalidates any runs that do not include the new map(s). There has been discussion about grouping sets of maps together, but there was not enough talk about how and the other logistics with doing those kinds of runs. So we are open to the idea of more then IL runs but its just not as simple for a IL structured game like this.

Connect a streaming service and record the gameplay footage right from the console via the sharing options. You can do this for Youtube or Twitch and other services that the platform supports. You can find plenty of information on how to set that up, keep in mind that doing so for a decent stream/recording to be uploaded you should have decent net or else it will suffer some severe quality issues that being said its a nice alternative for those with just consoles and a wired connection to them.

Awesome run and introduction to some more tech behind weapon swapping besides the reloads. Fire Swapping is some huge time saves with Rockets, which I completely wrote off from earlier testing never thought to explore it more with swapping.

The additional setup for characters to optimize which ones are used for each mission clearly shows some deeper thought into loadouts and such as well.

I am also surprised at some of the AFK strats used to block the enemy AI from spawns which just make those timed missions so much easier and basically free.

Incredible run even past that that minor time loss from the crash.

Several interested runners within the community have suggested allowing breaks during attempts as well, so this was added as a secondary topic for now.

You have been told multiple times and everyone else that if you want to see a new level be added that is currently missing please submit the run and note the actual level in with the run is for so that we see and know to add it correctly.

Please do not continue to make posts each time you say you want a new level added that was release. Just make sure the besides the level being summited incorrectly that everything else is correctly filled in and it will be added and the run verified.

Main Topics;

Submit-able segmented runs for Drakengard 2 being allowed.

Secondary Topics;

Breaks being permitted in single session submissions.

This post for the Discussion will be updated to reflect any and all points given. You do not have to be an active runner to have a voice here, everyone is welcome. The goal is to make running DoD2 easier and more enjoyable for anyone who wishes to.

Primary discussion for the community is being discussed within our discord in the Drakengard 2 run_talk channel, any and all discussion here is relevant but will be easier to communicate and and relay from primary to secondary. You do not have to join the discord if you do not want to. I will do my best to also communicate and update here as things evolve.

There is a 2 player option for Infinite Onslaught. Also if there is a level, or certain player numbers etc missing you can always do the run then submit it with a note for what the actual run is for and we will make the adjustments and place it where it needs to go.

@Art_Izon a lot within the community has changed since then, Back when I was involved with the game and board more I was the only one working on IL's at the time and then we had several people wanting to run the DLC so thats kinda where things changed once more devoted and interested people came to start speedrunning with the improvements to Emulation being surely needed to make it more accessible and consistent as @IntonerAlice as pointed out. Rules will always change or evolve since back then it was only around 3 or so people and nothing was ever concrete nor should it be. Many new things have been found since then so as with that many changes have followed thanks to all those that have been around working together.

missing platforms were added.

There is no reason why it would not be. its playable officially on that platform.

Instead of requesting, how about you actually do the run. Also just because someone runs it does not mean its worth tracking. Categories worth tracking are those with competitive interest and merit to them. Even if there is a accomplishment for someone doing a category we have made notice to find and those runs and runners in a list. There is no real need to burden a load of random categories unless there is some good competition within it.

Ontario, CanadaMASH2 years ago

@Diddydingo submit a run a put in the notes what stage/level it is with everything else being correct and it will be added.

Ontario, CanadaMASH2 years ago

Until SRDC gives us the tools we have been wanting for a long time we have to figure out alternatives till then. IL tracking and category sorting is just plain lack luster atm so keeping a well maintained and clean board is just hard to do when things get complicated sadly.
