That's how I got my NBM record in 24c. Just do a run, and if it's a good enough run you can probably get a category.
Hey, I was wondering if there was a tutorial for DJ owlless. I see top runners do it all the time, with no idea how they do it. I've got no reason to focus on it as it saves minuscule amounts of time given that I have an 18:30, but I'd still like it.
Well, this is a surprise. I didn't expect to suddenly lose my NG+ record by nearly 3 mins. I hope hydragon plays more categories and I hope that we get some more activity with new blood in the mix.
I've tried to do that, but when I reset, I lose the hat. How do I do it?

Earlier today, I looked at the two WR runs, side by side, and I've come about a difficult conclusion. We are at the MOST about 6 frames away from the fastest possible time.
Let me go through the reasoning. First off, because of the stage 25 cycle, no time save there matters unless it's nearly 9 seconds. (That is a bit over the amount of time we need to save to get a 1:50 cycle.) Next, if you frame advance, you'll notice that both of the tied WR runs exit stage 25 on the same frame. (2:00.37) That is the best frame possible frame on this cycle. I frame advanced through the entire rest of the run and could find no discrepancies. They are the exact same.
There is exactly one timesaver I can think of. When you land on the platform on stages 28-30, you jump. There are many frames when you can jump, and it is probable that you can successfully jump at least a few frames earlier. That makes a grand total of SIX frames to save if I'm being EXTREMELY generous.
Nobody is going to like this, but I feel like I may be the only one who will say it. I don't know if anybody will ever beat the current record.
Enough people have asked this that there should probably be a guide made.
If you ever have route questions, I highly advise you to watch the run of the island. That's how I found out the TTI route.

There are 4 aerial levels, and I have a segment for Danville... Almost, which means there are 20 levels we have no segment for.
If you'd like to help me, then please reply. In a while, I'll divide the levels out for each person evenly.
Ideally, each segment would have little to no error, and be an IL world record (there isn't a run at all for most, so maybe go with the first requirement for ones that don't have a good WR already)
Also, I believe there is no difference between versions, so don't worry about it.
Please consider helping us. I'm hoping for at least 3 contributors. (Including myself)

But yeah, I have pondered this question. I think it could be useful, but we would have to retime a bunch of runs. We could have our three mods do that for the 115 runs we have. OR we could have every individual runner recalibrate their runs in some kind of deadline... that would be less work for our mods, but they would have to reverify times anyway, unless we go on honor system.
Of course, I am not a mod or anything, so nothing I say here actually means anything :P.
WAIT, since you have all medals, by any chance do you have all of the cheats? I have every medal, but three are still "?"ed out. Do you have them?
Even tho I'm late, you should also know that pictures CAN be photoshop. I think you are legit, but just... I dunno. I hope you can get a run through.
Even though nobody will ever do these (except me and maybe woutt) I'm adding some categories that I think we should have. Hardcore mode. Basically enabling the "hardcore mode" cheat. Even though you would do it in cheat%, since you also have power hitter in that mode, enemies are OHKO'd anyway. Cheat%. I talked about this before. 100%. I talked about this before too. All overworld chips. AllCoins but with chips.
Please tell me whether you believe 100% should be miscellaneous or not!
