I submitted Stealth Bastard Deluxe. It's not run by a lot of people, it's not all that popular, and I've never been to GDQ...not to mention I don't really have a reputation. On the upside, it's a fun game in general, it's pretty technical for speedrunning, and it's REALLY marathon safe. Plus, it's never been at a GDQ before. The world record is a little over an hour, my PB is 1:13, and I can consistently get around 1:20 or lower.

...a guy can hope, right?

Hey all, I'm Chris (a.k.a. Kaizo). Apparently, I also go by Buttlet because I'm a Game Grumps fan and I was feeling sassy one day, and Steam lets you change your name to anything really so I did.

ANYWAY, I've been watching Games Done Quick pretty much nonstop since I found out it was a thing a few years ago, and even dabbled in Ocarina of Time for a little bit, although I never took it too seriously. I've decided that I want to delve into speedrunning in earnest.

I know the speedrunning community is very welcoming and awesome to everyone, and I've been missing that sense of community lately. I'm also reconnecting with my long lost passion for Let's Plays and entertainment, and figured speedrunning was a good outlet. And one day I'd like to make it to Game Done Quick as a runner. It all starts with a commitment, so I'm gonna fight to stay committed to runs, even if it's just the one game I've just started practicing again.

Which brings me to games. Stealth Bastard Deluxe (which I'm shortly uploading a run for) and Axiom Verge are where I intend to start. Despite the fact that the WR's are pretty tight (Axiom Verge WR does some INSANE damage boosting and health management that's a bit beyond me right now), I'm gonna go for gold. I'm pretty happy with how SBD turned out and I know I can make improvements, and I'll keep up the pace.
