make sure the cloud sync on steam is deactivated for undertale, or else itll keep using the saves on the cloud
Update, just did it again, the strat that seems to work for me is to get into the corner, tap up a little bit then spam left and right. It's unreliable, but it does work sometimes for me
Now, clipping back in, however, I think the collissions are different because it's not happening.
I have a pretty decent PC, game running at 180fps, I was able to clip OoB on the underriver on the same corner that the WR does, but wasn't able to clip back in. I'll also mention it was extremely lucky and didn't really have any strat, as when I tried again I couldn't do it.
Well, looking at the achievements there, seems like the two instances of magic are exceptions, so it doesn't really help me specifically.
Also I wasn't asking for this category to be actually added to the site, mostly asking if it was possible so I could do a run for fun.
I do think this wasn't important enough for a forum post, but I haven't seen a Discord link or anything so I had no other options but to ask here lol
I've been researching a bit to see if this was a doable challenge, and for the most part, it is.
So far the only instances of magic I haven't been able to avoid are the waves to activate the switches on the water stage, and the phoenix to destroy the shield of the final boss' first phase.
I also suck at this game so I'm writing here in case I missed any potential glitches or clips that could be useful for those cases.
This feels like a fun category that I'd try, but first I want to make sure it's possible.
It's not really any technique in specific, just mashing both A and B as fast as you can while inside the boss
The main thing is that you want to make sure you're inside the boss's hitbox so that both the front and back bullets hit
Basically get every bottle in every level from a new save (new save mostly so you have to unlock the bonus levels).
This includes all 20 levels, all 10 bonuses, and their corresponding Floor Is Lava versions.
I did a run of it. I'm really bad so it took me more than an hour, but this can go 4X or even 3X minutes with someone that actually knows how to play.
(Video might still be processing)
Managed to finish a Low% run (19:06) honestly it's not that bad, except for 4-2 being stupidly difficult with the default weapon and only one shot on-screen.
It's definitely an interesting category as it makes enemies a lot more dangerous than in any%. If another runner finishes a run, I'll make it a thing, don't wanna create the category only for me to have the only run.
Personally (I'd prefer some more opinions):
-Partial game categories don't really make sense, having a run only to the first boss when the game is already so short seems trivial.
-ILs also don't feel that interesting for this game specifically. Specially since you'd need to either have a savestate before the level or you'd have to beat the rest of the game only to grind that one level.
-Low% seems interesting, for sure. Although I think it'd be better to wait for a run to be done before adding a category.
I'll edit the rules when I can to explicitly mention that both macros/autoHotKey and savefile editing are banned from runs. Savefile editing being banned is kind of obvious, but macro is banned too due to this site being the center of almost only RTA runs. For TAS runs, there's TASVideos already. Thanks for posting your findings, I hope everyone is okay with these decisions.
Adding to this thread by saying I completed a run. A very bad one, but a run nontheless. Autosplitter kinda messed up and reset after beating Hard Mode, but I retimed it (Specifics on the video description).
Lobotomy and the secret area with the re-appearing tiles are the two worst rooms IMO.
I learned using this beginner guide by TimeLink. I don't know if there are better resources out there but this is a good start.

I was looking to do a 100% run because I've lost control of my sanity, but I have some questions about the rules.
-
Is there any mandatory version? Normally I wouldn't ask this, but since 100% requires all achievements and more get added every update, I don't know if this requires latest version, or if it even requires DLC.
-
What about the break? Does it have a maximum duration? If not, is it necessary to stream the whole break? Thinking about just using that as a sleep break cause there is no way I finish it in less than 24h lol
Anyway, yeah, those are the questions I have, thanks in advance.
Allowed, yes. As for which platform, I actually don't know, I'd say put it on PC since it's coming from Steam (but please specify on the description for future reference).
