Is there a limit on what games you can follow, or are you not allowed to follow it for some reason? Is there another way I can add it to my followed games? Thanks.
Was just doing a quick Google and apparently Twitch deletes VODs unless you make a highlight of the specific speedrun. How does that work? Is that like a separate VOD that doesn't delete, and that you can put as a link when submitting runs?
I've never played this game past the tutorial, but my profile says I have a 1:53 run in it, I'm confused. I've not been hacked by 4chan have I? (/s)

Just a couple small questions, but if I recorded a whole run on Easy and wanted to break it down into individual levels, what's the easiest way to go about doing that? Is it easier to do offline (record on OBS)?
I also wanted to ask when the actual timer starts and finishes on a level?
For instance I'll see Adam players dashing followed by a back-attack when nobody is there, or Axel (somehow?) dashing followed by a back-attack. Is there a reason for this?

I'm trying these methods out, trying to replicate the first level just a little bit, and are we even playing the same game? I feel like I'm playing "Piggy in the middle" with super-saiyan signals who only wanna attack me if I don't have a combo going, and will be uncatachable otherwise.
I don't speedrun myself but I like to watch them, and people often use plugins that show on-screen enemy and character HP. I've tried finding these values in-game before using Cheat Engine out of curiousity, but couldn't find anything. But then I noticed that when enemies spawn, their values are instantly loaded. How does that work? How would the developer know how to find those values? Is there just a static piece of code with a fixed array of changing values that are pulled elsewhere?
I completed the game on Inferno and have gotten quite good at dodging but for the life of me I cannot dodge Nemesis' first form when he punches. I just found it very odd and astounding that people on the leaderboard can dodge him without even seeing or hearing him, as-well as the tentacle dudes.
P.S. I used the infinite rocket launcher for most of the encounters, I'm not that good at the game, lol. Heck, these people are dodging literally everything with zero effort, how is that skill even possible?
Are we still keeping this background? Come on, the game isn't for everyone, but by this logic we might as-well just make every game the same background because not everyone will like it.
And in-case the context isn't clear here, the background of /ffx_2/ is literally a photograph of Final Fantasy X-2 in a rubbish bin.
I clicked the notification that says it was beaten, but when I clicked on it, it said "No Video :(", are videos not required?
I'm always trying to emulate strategies and cheeses I see on V4 submissions but the game always punishes in such a way that it doesn't work anymore, such as infinite juggles and rhythmically freezing enemies and bosses in place.
I quite liked being able to filter by each video game, and not just games I follow. The main reason I'm asking is because if it's not already being planned, I wanted to have a go at doing it myself for practice sake.
I wanted to practice the Final Fantasy VII Remake runs, starting with easy difficulty. The game is amazing, I love it so much and I feel like I'd quite enjoy running it. But I'm wondering how I should go about doing such a long run while managing to take a piss and not starve. I also experience quite a bit of loneliness sometimes and wouldn't want this to contribute.
Should I practice this in small chunks first, like one chapter at a time?
I've wanted to try out livestreaming for a long time but I feel like I have so many walls to knock down, one of them being my fear of being judged. I know the Internet is a harsh place and showing my face/voice (I know I don't have to but I like to make the most effort) would be incredibly regrettable if I said something which got me mocked or bullied or something.
I'm nervous enough posting things on Reddit even though there's nothing that ties my account to who I am as a person, besides the opinions I make on things.
It's been like this for about a week, the game thumbnails won't be aligned to the right of the streaming thumbnail and the streaming thumbnail won't show the stream.
I was thinking of getting another monitor the same size (24 inch) as the one I'm using now, with the intention of playing games off of it, so I can stream off of it, but I'm wondering if I'd still need OBS up, or Chrome with Twitch on it, or a third party software to view chat. How would I lay it all out?
Or better yet, why aren't they categories / tabs? I think everyone would benefit. Runners would have more categories compete in, and viewers would have varied speedruns to watch. Or is Jigglypuff already outlawed? Because that might help variance too.
Something like;
Stealth - Easy Stealth - Hard Lazer - Easy Laser - Medium
Etc etc.
Just watched the Non-alternate-ending run and he lets the tiger eat him alive, then he backs out and fast travels back to do the missions like normal? Why would you go out of your way to do that?
There's quite a few modifications you can do to both consoles, I've seen columns in the Final Fantasy XV page saying whether the runner has an SSD or a Pro / Slim. I know that you can time it with or without loads, but is that the only thing altering a game's speed? And how can someone time something so specifically that they'll cut out each loading screen by the frame?
I keep telling myself not to start until I finish my casual 100% run, and the thought of having to wave the JoyCons making my arms ache doesn't fill me with a lot of hope. And I always see new WR's being uploaded on the subreddit, it's making me wonder how competitive it actually is.
Plus there would be a LOT of memorising involved, or at least partially recognising how to complete moons from notes. And there's like 800 of them isn't there? What do you guys think?
