I have just started messing around with learning runs for CT and I'm curious as a newbie how bad is it when I mess up the rng manipulations early on? Should I just reset and try again or can I push forward?

I'm having a lot of trouble trying to find a general guide about routing and what not for MQ. So far I've been watching some youtube and twitch videos of runs but having something i could have to read while actually playing would be wonderful since I'm just starting trying to run this game. Any help would be great :)
