I'm trying to setup a marathon, but the tracker doesn't let me link my paypal to the site so donations can be tracked. Is there anything I am doing wrong?

On October 27-29 I will be holding the "A Friend in Need" marathon. A coworker of mine recently discovered she has stage 3B breast cancer and is getting treatment for it now. Another coworker has setup a gofundme for her,and I want to run an event on my channel to generate as much help from her as I can. The kindness of strangers can go a long way to helping a mother of 4 in her fight to stay with her family. All links and submissions are here in this google form.

https://goo.gl/forms/MCGbumLyiqrnMeuo2

Submissions are open until 10/14/2017.

Any word spreadage or help outside of participating in the event directly is greatly appreciated.

South Park and Archer are all I really watch these days. Like.... Outside of Ray Donovan I don't even watch live action, just South Park and Archer.

Run what you want. If you want something to pick up steam, try and promote it, see if you can get people specifically interested in it, and see if it grows. If at any time you have the thought "Man, this just isn't fun anymore", don't sweat it and move on. It happens to a lot of folks. At the end of the day with streaming, do what is making it fun for you. It may be hard to resurrect a "dead game" or category, but if you have fun doing it and trying to raise interest, go for it.

A baseline rule for everything is if you are going to do emu runs follow SRL policies (most use snes9x 1.53), so no zsnes or 9x 1.4x.

For glitchless: Single segment, so once you start the run no resets. If you die and reload a save thats fine, but the console/emu can never be reset. This is for rng/ram values since they only reset on a hard reset of the console. Other than that, naturally no use of glitches. Trigger skips (such as the invisible man in Moonside and Monotolli dialogue) are fine since they are considered an exploit rather than a glitch. Nothing is loaded into the game that would constitute glitching out the code, but they do come with a risk as screwing them up DOES lead to run ending glitches.

Also, I'm 100% fine with resets/mess ups for someones first run or two. Particularly if the run is over 5-6 hours and someone is just posting a time, but maybe had a hardware error etc. But if you start getting into the more competitive time zones below 5 hours, if your stuff resets, it's time to restart the timer. I have a controller I'm constantly in fear of disconnecting, and even if I'm on pb pace at Giygas and it screws up, it's run over.

For any%: Any glitch is allowed with the exception of accessing the debug menu. Hard resets allowed (and required for top tier times, unless you are a robit).

Photo%: Glitches and resets allowed, no debug menu. Must obtain all photos in the game in addition to defeating Giygas. Timing stops when you talk to mom post Giygas(Right?).

Any% No OoB: Glitches and can be used but no resets. Can not use the debug menu or stairs glitch to go out of bounds.

Timing for all routes except photo% go from "yep" at the start to the beginning of the final prayer on Giygas.

Would love to see these come back. Can't guarantee I'll be in all of them even if I planned on streaming that day, but will do them when possible. I plan on doing ALttP weeklies again at some point and that would put me finishing ~4pm CST.

Electricity issues aside, seemed like that worked out last night. My power turned off again about an hour later so I didn't see the end of the race. But if people want to do this monthly, we should set a time for this. A bit earlier preferred, and maybe Saturday instead of Friday. Thoughts?

OR if one of you technical computer men know of a way to edit the program to not mess with cultist house or mole cave

I could see it being possible to randomize a rom, then debug warp to Cultist house, Monkey Cave and....Where? To check spawns. Would just take some more work.

After doing a short run that locked last night, I didn't realize how much people liked the big randomizer race we did a while back.

Would people be interested in say....The first weekend of each month doing another randomizer race with lots of folks? I think wacky npc sprites need to be disabled for less hassle.

I'm fine with this being added as "Any% Debug Menu". Many games have categories like this (ALttP's 1 minute run, Lufia 2's wacky debug menu run, SoM Credit's Warp). This run has been known about for a long time and has had runs in the past. It actually takes a good amount of luck and execution to pull this off. I don't see an issue of adding this in with the other niche categories we have. I don't see this becoming a competitive thing, but it is a well known run and a way to complete the game with Japanese Timing.

I could really go for a delicious Cold Cut Combo from my local Subway store while watching some Earthbound runs.
