BelgiumWell @BackmadeJay that's not what he wanted. He wants the unfair advantages (however small they are) to be gone, not necessarily the mod itself.
@illuminati7777 it's NOT the fact that it is a mod that started this discussion, it started because it offers a real disadvantage. I don't know how much time it saves, but the fact that it allows you to do something that you can't do without it makes it a valid reason to be banned.

I already asked in Discord, but what I'd like to know is whether or not switching between free aim and autoaim is possible with a controller that is supported. Because if it is then I don't see why we'd ban this but not things like DINPUT8 (which fixes mouse problems in menus etc).

Edit: For some reason I got 100 fps more after a while. Weather and day/night seem to impact this too.

You know, the more I think about it, the more I'd like to vote for A. Any% (as it is now) should always remain the main category, but the way it is now, just makes it so the game won't be competitive at all in a few weeks. Everyone will just get that "easy pb", and then never touch the game again, because I don't know why anyone would even want want to grind this. The previous any% wasn't active either, but at least there was SOME point in doing it. Right now I don't see why you'd want to do the old any% if you're never going to get close to the top ranks anyways. I know any% has changed multiple times by now, but like Patrick and some others pointed out, at least you were still playing some parts of the game. Right now all you do is wait a long time, hope you don't crash and there you go, run is over pretty much.
I checked out a part of your stream where you tried to dupe. It looks like the biggest problem is that you are getting the phonecall before you warp back.
You need to drive to the Ice Cream van as fast as you can, get in the van, AND then get back on the bike without getting a phonecall. I also noticed you didn't skip the Ice Cream cutscene (from what I've seen). To do that just press W when the cutscene is running. You could press W + Space so the van doesn't move too much. Once the cutscene is skipped, press F and get on the bike immediately.
If you happen to be too slow, then there's still a backup strat that you can do with the Police Cheetah nearby.
This is all explained in this tutorial, starting at 17:33 (cheetah strat at 18:50): ¤ F6 = side mission button (might be caps lock for you)
Don't worry if it takes a while to get good at it, for me this probably took the most practice. :p Oh, and the 'Welcome to Vice City' screen is normal, like tSu_nAmi said.

I don't really see the harm in keeping a miscellaneous category. Yes, it was pretty inactive, and I think there was only 1 or 2? runs on there. But if someone really wants it to stay, then why not just leave it there. Most misc. categories are inactive anyways, so that's not really a reason to remove a category in my opinion. Since it was misc. already, people should know these categories are to be taken less seriously, and it could still be considered a funny way to complete the game.
Edit: nvm, I was talking about putting back 7 assets too (since I have the same mindset about that), but apparently it's only about IG 100%. OpieOP
Maybe the rule would be more clear if it was something like "You have to collect all checkpoints with the timer running", because people might find other exceptions too.
I think you're talking about something like the Jury Fury dupe? If so, then that's already known. :P For Jury Fury you enter the marker once, wait until the rampage runs out (or complete it in 100%), and then you start the mission again which passes the mission after a few seconds.

Would be nice to have a GTA Marathon every year. The VC tournament took about 2 months (after it started), so assuming GTA III will be the same, it would end near the end of March. Maybe it would still be better to do GTAM later in the year, because otherwise there would be a huge gap of nothingness (after GTAM), but I guess it doesn't matter that much.
If people would really disagree on this, you could always temporarily use another keyboard lay-out to prevent it when playing SA, like AZERTY. (unless I'm stupid and that doesn't help)
