Although we prefer DOOM or similar FPS games, submissions are also open to other games and modded content!

Hey, users that have been banned and have incredibly racist usernames like these should have these usernames completely hidden from the forums.
The fact that these sorts of usernames can still appear after being banned, in this case even in multiple threads in a public forum is concerning.
I added Meozinho to the mod team since he had a run pending for 3 months in this game, even though 2 of the mods were active pretty recently.
Cynaschism, you should add a placeholder category if you are unable to set up this board yet since it's not flagged for deletion due to not categories being set up.
Due to multiple complaints from mods and users, I temporarily banned diablo7 until 14-07-2020. Diablo, when you return I expect that you will stop with the excessive requesting of categories without consulting the runners first.
For everyone else that wants to request a category or LB, my suggestion is honestly: make a proper plan before requesting something first. Perform a run of said category you wish to request is very preferable, as well as collecting feedback from existing runners will add a lot of credibility to your request and make life a whole lot easier for mods since most mods are not looking to hold your hand in this either.
UPDATE: Okay, the responses seem pretty clear. We didn't expect this to cause such an uproar. We'll pull this rule back to re-evaluate further for now.
I do want to emphasize just the reason why we made this post before doing this, and that is that our intent was never to gain more control over communities, far from it. The reason we posted this is so that communities would engage much more with site staff regarding users that break site rules and also be more transparent about their currently off-site blacklist procedures. Though, from the responses this did not seem to be the best way to do so.

Via this thread we want to inform all game moderators about a new but rather important addition to the site moderation rules - bottom of section 'Leaderboard Moderation'.
Effective immediately: 'Game Moderators may not maintain individual leaderboard blacklists, involving the suspension, temporary or permanent, of users from their leaderboard. Any users suspected of foul play should be reported to site staff.'
We expect all game moderators to abide by this new rule and drop any user blacklist(s) they maintain immediately.
The motivation for this is quite simple. Users that continiously break site rules, such as for example by repeatedly submitting cheating/splicing should always be reported to site staff, as this directly falls under bannable behavior. We do not wish for game moderators to police these actions themselves via user blacklisting. Game moderators should address users breaking the rules but should not control the access of site functionality for a user, such as prohibiting them from submitting runs to a leaderboard. This should be left to site staff, as well as the severity of the punishment for those actions.
However, game moderators are allowed to reject a cheated/spliced/falsified run if there is exhaustive evidence for it. For conscious attempts at getting those runs on the leaderboard should site staff be contacted. Please include the aforementioned evidence with the report.
Edit: It's not only for repeated cases. Sorry for the confusion.
We are looking into adding site functionality for this, but for now, please directly message a site full moderator if you wish to report a user.

A message to all game moderators:
The following site elements will be temporarily disabled on the 1st of April (April Fools day): /editgame and /editseries.
Options such as /submitrun, /editrun and other site functionality will remain operational to assure the continuity of most leaderboard processes.
During this day, site staff will also closely monitor moderation actions that remain operational, such as the run verification process.
Jokes are all good fun but we expect moderators to stay mature and not alter leaderboards or verify runs because of a joke. Keep that in mind that nobody is looking to clean up a mess caused by actions like those.
Keep an eye on this post or a possible banner on the main page (not sure yet) when the beforementioned temporary changes go live and when the measures are lifted ending April Fools day.

Some users are experiencing intermittent crashes, as well as that Noclip through Cheat Engine broke with the Day 5 update that released today.
Luckily downpatching the game back to a version prior to today's update fixes those issues.

Could a moderator kindly explain in detail why these two run submissions in particular have been pending for over a month, even though other runs have been verified?

I received information that this mod team might have their suspicions regarding the legitimacy of these runs.. though, they have been pending for over a month and no concrete evidence has been provided in the meanwhile as well as no rejections due to suspicions of cheating, since they are still pending.
Besides this, I am quite baffled to receive some evidence that moderators approached this submitter to have him download and install some strange software in order to verify whether their run is legit? This is pretty concerning and I wish that the moderator(s) in particular stop with this immediately. I will take action on this seperately.
I expect an explanation on this situation ASAP or otherwise I wish that these runs are treated equally and handled conform SR.C guidelines.
Looking at the current state of this series, there are a dozen of FIFA boards in this series all created with exactly 0 runs on them after what has been essentially years after their creation date in a lot of cases. Is there any possible explanation as to why this is done? Below is just a couple of examples.... and I didn't even go through every game so far.

Series are not meant to be catalogging games for the site. A game (or category) should be created when there is sufficient demand for it, with at least one run submitted to them after a short period of time.
We think it's better this series will be without moderation moving forward.
Besides that, it's probably good we go over every FIFA game and decide whether it's worth keeping these games due to their long period of inactivity. (boards created in 2017 and have never received a single run). Essentially created with no goal in mind or even runs performed on them.

So I regret to inform that the now temp banned moderator "vostok" has entirely changed the contents of this board. It was initially requested as the game "KNIGHTS" but some key values were selfishly altered to match this game "High Risers" which was actually a game this moderator requested but was initially rejected. The moderator though it was a good idea to then wipe the entire board and change everything to match this game.
In the coming days, we will be trying to restore everything back to how it was before. We will also delete any new runs that were accepted as High Risers as they don't belong here. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Just noticed this board wasn't tagged as prerelease (also includes demo's. Its mandatory for all games that currently reside in this development stage) I did just tag it now as prerelease. I'll make a note to remove it once the game is fully released.
If you create a new board but don't set up any categories, the board gets automatically flagged for deletion. To prevent that, I created at least one blank category stating the game is released on the 31st of October.

This leaderboard is locked until at least the 11th of October. Reasons are simply to give everyone a fair chance to play the game. Speedrun routing has already begun, but the idea is to use a loadless timer for the run, which needs a bit of time to get created.
