Hey nice job! Would be nice to have a @types/speedruncom package instead of something because I'm already building my own ui and I would love to not have any extra runtime dependencies. I might just yank the type definitions directly in my project for that reason 👀
Like a lot of people in the community, I also tried making alternatives but the conclusion I always come to is that it's just a tremendous amount of work and doing that on my free time is always difficult. However, for the Souls community, we made a purely frontend integration based on the speedrun.com API, but who knows how long the API would be available. https://github.com/CapitaineToinon/SpeedSouls
Then I'm sorry we can't help you. The speedrunning tools are developed only with legit copies of the game in mind. Buy the game or just deal with the issues.
Hey, creator of the LiveSplit plugin here. When you're not in-game, the plugin reads the time from your savefile directly, which should normally be located in Documents\NBGI\DARK SOULS REMASTERED<some unique number here>. Please confirm me that it is the case and that you're also not using a pirated version of the game, thanks.
"Analog and digital signals can only be mapped to analog and digital forms of input respectively" means that you are not allowed for example to bind pushing your joystick forward to the button A of your controller because a joystick is an analog input while the button A is a digital input.
So for example, you are allowed to rebind button A to button B, button B to button C, swap one joystick with the other, etc.
As for macros, that means you're can't bind multiple inputs to one other input. So for example, you are not allowed to bind button A to button C and at the same time also having button B to button C.
I am also very curious about the future of the API since I have several applications relying on it.
There is an Any% SL1 category for the original but we didn't create it on the Remastered edition yet. If more people want one, we can create it without any issues. Currently it would fall under regular Any% though.
There are audit logs available for mods and it appears that he deleted all the runs himself, 6 in total.
We're not saying having leaderboards with few people on it is a problem, just that we did come up with rules in the past and yet nobody was actually doing glitchless runs. Those were before the Remastered came out though and we not against the idea of a leaderboard. We will see what we can do.
Playing online is banned from all categories but nothing prevents you from doing it anyways if you're just looking for a fun challenge run to do with your friend.
There is no way to do it as far as I know. You can find out if a game bans or allow emulator runs using the games api endpoint and then pass the correct query to the leaderboards endpoints but that's it.

I am afraid I have some sad news to share with you today. After getting an answer yesterday stating that they would answer as soon as possible when the hostess responsable of the ice cream machine would come back from holidays on Wednesday, they were able to answer my urgent request today anyway.
Unfortunately, despite our tremendous efforts, we weren't able to fulfill the prophesy and beat the 2018nd record, as explained in the following e-mail that I had the misfortune to receive today.

Hey there, I have two bugs I want to report on the Dark Souls leaderboards.
The first one comes to variables. We have 3 different categories, each with the same variable called "route" but different routes for each category. However, all 3 variables shows on all 3 categories :
EDIT : Remove the second bug that wasn't one.
EDIT : I also noticed the github IssueTracker is empty and says "This repository is used to track bugs on speedrun.com. There is no public code here yet, sorry". Is there any update on that ? Can we expect the source code to become available at some point ? Because that'd be awesome and I would love take a look.
Kinda supprised Dark Souls Any% made it but All Bosses didn't, especially since it was submitted by Kahmul. Still very excited to be part of the event obviously and I'll try to do my best!
