Georgia, USAI did split tests on the slim, and I did split tests on pcsx2. In addition to the splits, I timed the load screens. Lastly, I played alongside Roosta's video for the first few splits to confirm my machine was loading slowly. You're saying that the slim is the fastest?

Even though I got my hardware configured (for mac), I've got a windows vm where i'll be doing practice on pcsx2. Can anyone help with the layout? For instance:
- Do you guys use OBS or is there something better?
- How do you format livesplitone so it looks good in the OBS (or whichever broadcaster) window?
- What chat program for windows? KapChat's url?
Any other recommendations for making the window look sleek.
I put together a video of my current setup - would love feedback if anyone has any suggestions for improving my minimalist rig.

Hi. I've been running the NTSC-U v of this game since its release in 06, but I'm just now joining the forum and looking to get on the leader board. Question(s):
As a newbie speed-runner and a mac/linux guy, what's the most cost effective setup for recording and meeting speedrun.com requirements? There are too many options out there... Also, I'm not really interested in live streaming, so I'm considering:
- Elgato Video Capture
- An AV splitter
- Time Split Tracker
** Will that get the job done, or do i need something else?
