Hey guys, I want to speed run this game. I see the rules say that battles must be played on normal difficulty, unless they are needed to progress the game. Does that mean I can play on easy as long as I don't scan for any battles? Like what happens with the puzzle box in week 3 or the boss battles? Thanks!

the only time you go on easy mode is story progress. once you finish that area that requires Easy Mode... you need to swap back to Normal Mode. Thats if you run the Normal Category. I run the Easy Category just cause i have issues doing emulator unless on console. However Easy is not added as category cause its not challenging enough

Sorry, I don't usually check the forums.

There's a specific point at which the game must be on Easy difficulty to get a drop, which is what is meant by "in order to progress". However, all other fights must be on Normal difficulty or higher for it to be valid.

So basically, we can only use Easy mode in that one part of Week 2 where it's required, and Normal or Hard shoiuld be used for all others?

I'd like to see some strats involving Hard Mode drops...
