I'm personally a fan of RTA because in my opinion the entire game is RNG from the get go and shopping is part of the gameplay which makes it part of the speedrun, and also that is what the livesplit timer goes off of. However, I know a game like Hades that could go either way uses IGT and a game like Slay the Spire uses RTA, so there really isn't a wrong answer.
