It has only been a couple of days. Sending messages to the moderator and asking to become one yourself isn't going to speed up the verification any faster.
As a small tip, if you want your verification to go quicker, you could do the bare minimum and actually have a timer up in your speedruns.

The ladder in Zephyr that leads up to the Superflame actually extends right up the wall on the left side of it, letting you jump OOB and fly off to the Sowing Seeds orb location. Off the top of my head I have no idea if this could change the 100% route in any meaningful way.

No, it's a reasonably common glitch. The hitbox for the finish line is quite short on the Dragon Mines, so it's easy to jump over it and completely fuck up your run.
You just have to learn to not jump at the finish line, train yourself to remember it so it becomes a habit you never break.
From my experience, racing games like CTR don't usually have time trial runs; not typically in the business of "speedrunning".
It's only on the PAL version, and I believe it's as simple as pressing Triangle to exit out of the language menu when it comes up.
Polar and Pura are a nightmare. The max turning makes it goddamn impossible to boost more than twice most of the time.
The 'fastest' characters are the max speed ones, Tiny and Dingodile, however on some courses (Papu Pyramid comes to mind), their mediocre acceleration and awful turning stat can be a big problem and make it... either extremely difficult or straight-up impossible to keep sacred fire. One of the two. I'm not sure there.
Coco/N. Gin's stats are favoured for being the fastest middle ground between decent turning and good speed/acceleration.

I know this news is old hat but is there any way to actually play through Adventure Mode using unlockable characters? You crash when loading many races, and saving/reloading doesn't keep your character choice.
