Hello, I was wondering if we could do a category where the goal is to finish all the tracks as fast as possible in one submission. That would include the qualifying laps for each track, as well as the races themselves.

It would be a matter of adding up all the different times once the video was over to determine the in game time. But, there could also be a timer present on screen to keep track of real time.

A major question would be whether resets would be allowed once a race was finished. Because you do lose time with the score adding up and the game over screen.

Have a good day.

I like the idea, other games have a glitchless percent category. So I don't think it would be outrageous. Plus, you wouldn't be invalidating any of the previous runs.

Gotcha. Thanks. That is far less complicated than anything I thought of.

Hi everyone. I finally have the glitch on level three down, but something I cannot figure out is how to get DK Jr to swing from vine to vine quickly. I look at the top of the leaderboard and he is zooming through them, faster than any other point in the game.

Does anyone have an idea as to how to do this? Thanks.

I saw the input display, but he goes so fast it's hard to decipher what buttons are being pressed. I imagine jump is being used, but does it have to be mashed? What about B? What about the D-Pad?

Hello, I'm looking to start running 'Super Mario Bros. 3' Any % (No Wrong Warp). It looks like there is a wall clip needed in Bowsers' Castle to get a time close to world record speed.

The clip in question happens at 10:57

If someone could clarify how to do this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

Hi, I just started running Donkey Kong Jr and I noticed in the leaders there's a trick that happens on the third stage that requires clipping through a wall and a backwards jump. I run off an original NES, could someone please explain how that is done?

Thanks.

Building your own computer sounds intense. The closest I've ever come to that is watching, 'Halt and Catch Fire,' great show if you haven't seen it.

I've seen people try and do no damage runs, the only time I ever tried doing one was for 'StarFox 64.' That's pretty cool if you're able to do it consistently. I see your YouTube is linked, I'll be sure to check-it-out.

The worst part about the 'Pole Position' record is there is no video to verify it, but there was an official from Twin Galaxies to confirm it happened, so it counts. So however it was done, no one can look back on how to repeat it. I agree though, you should only have one go through the game. If one credit gives you one life or three, then that's how many you get.

I do own an Atari 2600. I bought it several years ago with the intent to set the world record for points in 'Pole Position." As it turns out, the current leader actually somehow scored higher than the number of points possible in the game. I don't know.

Never played on a Commodore. I never really got into PC gaming, if only because there was always one computer in the house and it was never powerful enough to run anything other than "RollerCoaster Tycoon." Which the original is still one of my favorites.

What games are you working on now?

I'm thinking about doing the three 'NBA Street' games to start with. Followed by 'Donkey Kong' on the Atari 2600. Really similar, I know. lol.

Hi everyone. I'm new to the game of speedrunning. I enjoy watching people go through my favorite games in ways I could never think to. There are a few games I want to try and beat, but I have to wait for them to come in the mail. I cannot figure out how to run an emulator and filming the way people do with them is alien to me. So I have to stick to playing on console with a camera pointing at it.

I hope everyone has a quick Monday and a good rest of your week. Thanks everyone!
