With the latest world record submitted, it has become clear to me that the difference in load times between PC and console players is too big to ignore. I want to shift the board from RTA times to Time Without Loads or alternatively, separate the boards by platform.
What are your thoughts on this as runners? Please let me know.
Do I have to reset the run entirely and get the character's ending or can timer end on the defeat?
Just wondered if Nintendo Switch could be added to the list of platforms this game is available on, as it is available with Nintendo Switch Online's NES App.
I feel like it isn't fair having runs with the default version of Mega Man merged in with runs of Mega Man with the ability to charge/slide. Here are the three sub categories I'm proposing just for the Mega Man board:
Mega Man (Default) Mega Man (Slide) Mega Man (Charge + Slide)
Think this sounds like a good change? Let me know.
I assume that the above will be added at some point but I'd especially like to see an X7 leaderboard, since that's my main X game. I can wait, but I had assumed all of them had been set up :P
I appreciate the versions of this game most people will play are the console ones, but where's the love for the PSP version? Sure, it might not have the Scenario Mode that is run by most people on this board, but it has a 'Story Battle' mode which could easily be run. Any reason why it isn't on this board as a sub category or anything? :/
Believe it or not, this game was also on the wii, titled the same. The box animations take considerably longer, but I feel it should still have a leaderboard on this site.
The game is also mistitled on the boards- the picture shows "The Banker is Back" and yet the boards label the game as "The Banker Returns". Whilst these do mean the same thing, I would prefer the game name to be correct, as the name confused me when choosing a game in Livesplit.
The leaderboard categories would be DS and Wii, with subcategories in those boards for 250k, 100k and 75k.
It'd be quite funny to see a category for the "Penny club" as well, so if you could implement that in as well that would be great :)
Hey, I was wondering about your Daytona USA world record. I am aware you did it on the arcade/port version, however I don't actually see a highlight or anything for it, even though I checked your twitch channel.
If possible, could you find the highlight and resubmit your run? Or just tell me what the full time is so the world knows what to beat? (2:21:XX)
Cheers,
