Shiek, happy new year man!
What's happening with WOW Classic? It's now January and there has been no movement on the rulesets being updated and sections split. Could we get an update please.
You can't repeat the layering abuse, that was an issue that was brought up on the day. Still a great achievement for Jokerd.
edit: necro sheesh

I find the grey area rules a bit wierd also, I know why you want to do it but for speedrun purposes solo unassisted is the default measure. It's hard to compare individual performance when one person is going full solo and another is actively layer swapping and resetting dungeons all day.
Thanks for opening a new section for WOTLK Classic!
There is a small typo in the rules for the 1-80 run - it says to do your /played once you get to 60, I'm sure that should be 80 :)
Could I also suggest the rules for 1-80 clearly list one character 1-80, ie not changing to DK at 55 to finish the run.
Cheers I'm not doing runs with the buff active, look forward to the Wrath section!
Are we going to have a leaderboard for Wrath?
Also Joyous Journeys xp buff is out until the end of the prepatch - is this counting as a world buff.
Cheers Tamlord, I just wanted to double check in case I could get away with it :) Thanks for the clarification!
Two questions:
For a hunter is mailbox use permitted in order to store ammo? IE: you purchase ammo on your speedrunning toon and send it to yourself, so you can draw from your stockpile in locations that have no ammo vendor
There are some quests that require the purchase of player-made items to complete. Will the run be valid if you spend money from your speedrunning toon on the AH to buy these items? EG: A quest requires you to turn in bracers that are made by a blacksmith. You use your speedrunning toon's money to purchase them on the AH
I know there are a number of speedrunners planning to race for world first and world records when Classic comes out next year.
I'd like to try to create a more formalised set of rules for those competing in order to foster competition across all servers and give a gold standard for what constitutes a legitimate run.
