It’s the final day and PizzaFuelDev has taken the lead, but any run submitted before midnight could still take the cake.
I’m thinking of running this game but don’t have an original cart. I’ve been playing on Collection of Mana on Switch. Could the list be expanded to include the platforms with Collection of Mana?
After the most basic testing, flight and cat waitressing seem to be unchanged. Yeah baybee!
A new PC patch released on Thursday. The patch notes only say "various minor bug fixes." Anybody checked if our tricks still work?
- Tested on Switch, Xbox and PC
- Works on food and lawn gnomes (and probably anything else)
- Can be done with cat or dog
- Does not require flight setup
- Can be used picking up items from a table, but it's much harder to execute, particularly on console
Now that we have a few active runners, I figured I might as well make a thread about how text mashing works.
Technique: It’s as simple as alternating A and B. As long as you alternate, it should let you advance text as fast as you can press the buttons. Even though A and B do the same thing in this context, they make different sounds depending on which button is clearing the text box. It’s a good way to figuring out how consistent your mashing is. Not that it matters much, just go to town in those buttons.
Problems: You have to always remember which dialogues lead directly to menuing. This includes shops and instances when you need to show someone a photograph.
Here’s an extremely professional and well shot video demonstration:
I’ve been playing around with it for a few days. It works on cat and dog but you have to die as that animal. Vicsyyy on twitter figured out a way to get crazy speeds. I was able to get from the first shrine to the mountain in under a minute.
