hello
will it be possible to even show the inventory? I'm using it for inferno, and its always nice to see where the items are
Current SRT is hitting 10% on the CPU which is a catastrophy, at least this overlay is nice
I already discussed it that matter with the mods and the save rule is unlikely to change even though it doesn t prove anything. LRT does and should be the ultimate proof for a run to not be segmented when showing on stream. The typewritter can be hacked and easily spliced if someone wanted to
Edit: Thing is, saving is fine and adds more info to your run it should be encouraged to save at the end. But imo it shouldnt be a valid reason to invalidate someones run when streaming the game and having a load remover timer on top of that. You cant splice on re4 using Lrt, its very unlikely.
Thats why saving should be encouraged not mandatory and even less arbitrary. Exceptions can be made and should be made using common sense. Yuushis run cant be spliced. Thats a fact. Therefore his run shouldnt be invald

For over a month i had a lot of problems with my game, also back in the days (approximatively 2 years ago) when i was running the game, i also had FPS issues.
This motivated me to finally post a tutorial that sums up about everything you need to know about steam RE4 and how to properly run the game.
I think it's a really important thing, especially when running a game, to have a smooth experience.
Any feedback related to that video is appreciated so i could potentially improve it, add more points etc.
There's a download link for the text file https://ufile.io/98fec
Hi Set comparaison to IGT, make sure you selected resident evil 4 as game title and activate the auto spliter. Click on the auto splitter settings to also check the LRT box for the main game. All of those are in edit splits
LRT has been improved the past few months and is now a pretty accurate method to compare times between runners despite the fact that it still doesn't cut the inventory's loading times. IGT can still be used to estimate how good was the run compare to the game's official timer, LRT will give best accuracy to it, both being complementary to each other.
For console the IGT is still a very effective method to compare times but it's true that some hardwares are still better than others. For example for gamecube version, it's recommended to play on either a black Wii or the gamecube itself, white wiis are slower.
By the way i would love to add that it would be amazing to maybe see Gamecube version uses LRT as most people already know is probably the fastest version of re4 without loads (including inventory) Maybe one day :)
Here's a way of recreating a Turbo mashing technique legit: https://pastebin.com/SLcr7m8z to illustrate that, we use this video … it took several hours to come up with this, i recommend Xbox one pad, possibly xbox one elite for even crazier configuration.
The config i just posted is a personalized one but we do get the idea on how to perform this technique, want to see it correctly executed ? Watch at 5:57.
This video was originally designed to help pad users compete with the effectiveness of a mechanical keyboard. This thread is an add up to Mike's original post which i found pretty interesting.
Most likely it works on every support without exception making all record, except for steam 60 fps, outdated.
This is currently the biggest discovery ever as minecart glitch was only possible on 60 Fps.
you shouldn't bother getting the 4th del lago hit or any extra, but just focusing on movement and trying to not crash the boat
Just to add up more info,
in your graphic card settings (nvidia panel for example), you have to select "manage 3D parameters", a new window opens up with 2 different tabs : Global settings / specific program settings. Select the second one and search for resident evil 4:
Just there you will be seeing a lot of different settings and you want to scroll down until you see "V-synch". By default it's set on "3D usage - activated". You want to completely desactivate it. Then Apply
To make sure the V-synch is desactivated, you have to run the game in Fullscreen Everytime. No exception. If you play in window mode, the game won't apply your settings. Also make sure your game is set on low settings / with original texture
Wii is the most stable version, very smooth fps, no lags and consistent loads, so you're making a good choice. PC is obviously the fastest / most competitive, but you can get a very solid learning / fun playing on the Wii. I advise purchasing a Wii2hdmi.
That's your opinion zenix and i could understand it but
Any% is the fastest way of beating the game, regardless of any rules, any category. Basic, and simple definition, impossible to argue on that.
As resident evil 7 which any% is basically ng+ easy, resident evil 4 his true any% is ng+ easy and obviously on pc 60 fps / 30 Fps, whatever thing you want to do with Fps. That's some common sense but you will probably disagree on that.
As we often said it, you can have as many categories as you want but usually there is no need to create a ranking for "meme categories" unless the meme has stopped being one. (basically enough runs to justify the creation of it)
oh wow didn't realize your cpu was that bad lol. Using the graphic card to stream instead of the CPU might help a lot! Consider upgrading your CPU tho XD
Your PC specs is more than enough. Go into your nvdia panel and start desactivating v-synch. Also make sure you're playing the game in fullscreen
Seems correct
I didn't try it yet on Steam 60 Fps. If it works NG Pro could legit go to sub 1:30, that would quite be the time. But i don't want to have too much hope for this... It could be a PS2 only trick
Very good idea, in addition to remi any % tutorial, making a more in depth tutorial for movement and back up item / strat is great.
Good luck for that dude
It should be fixed soon enough, thanks for telling us!
Cheat engine is for PC only and helps building up the inventory faster. Also it's recommended to have two saves: One for the ng+ file where you gonna run, and the other one before final boss where you change your items (so at any time you can make adjustments and use cheat engine if you need).
I recommend learning Stirling inventory or Auddy's inventory with Striker at the top left, and having a running grenade (like an incendary) so you make sure you not loosing it.
Yes no public attack or disrecpect. We're just sharing speed video epita.
Outrage used IGT in his run and put several hours to optmize each segment from start to finish, i can understand it seems confusing. Single segment is one shot section
