considering this game has been here for a long time i can say everyone has experienced this thing if you hit the clip of a box object or wall you can regain your jumps it has no visual cue so it can just happen like unless you plan it out where when u jump u barely hit the edge of the platform then yea that can work

Yes, and if you time it right you can jump while keeping your two jumps making a triple jump possible but it's a bit hard. Also some walls if you hit them on the right place will regain your jumps but it is so hard.
