Yes absolutely! I run on GCN but have played a bunch on dolphin, i found that it has some minor graphical glitches (doors in the first world and a lot of trees render weirdly) and audio glitches (pausing the game tends to unleash an endless stream of sound effects) but it is, as far as i know, exactly the same gameplay-wise.
maybe this isn't how speedrun dot com normally handles stuff but imo the gba game is a totally different game, so shouldn't it have its own leaderboard?
I don't see any reason to pause the timer: in my mind, the leaderboard times should reflect the actual time between starting a new file and achieving the goal. If there's some aspect of the credits that make the run less fun/inconsistent then please let me know.
Thank you for the helpful reply!!! I'll get to learning the game soon.
Sorry if this is a dumb question that has been addressed somewhere else, but is there currently any way to run this game on Switch, which is currently lacking the time trial mode? (Also why is the game run in time trial mode instead of just starting a new save file?) Thanks!
Hi! Sorry I didn't see this until today, I'll add this as a category now. I'd like to keep the old category as Any% to keep it in line with the Fever boards, so I'll name the new one All Stages. I don't really plan on touching this game much in future so let me know if anyone wants to be given moderator privileges.
You don't need a capture card we would like to see a video, that basically means filming your DS with a camera. Low quality video doesn't matter ;) !
Hi Fever team, Fairly casual player here, but the idea of speedrunning Rhythm Heaven games really appealed to me and I kinda went ahead and recorded a run of Rhythm Heaven (DS). It's about 58 minutes and will be on Youtube within the next couple of days, when my internet gets better. I don't really mind either way, but I'm curious as to whether Speedrun dot com would/could add a page for the game. Sorry if I'm missing anything obvious. Thanks!
