Illinois, USAI saved the Steamapps/common/Refunct folder before it updated, which, according to some of the forums I've been looking at, should allow me to downgrade back to Update 4(?) and do runs of NGG. Do I need to do anything else? Any% w/ NGG was my favourite category to run and I still wanna do it, need to be 100% certain that this will work for it, so if anyone knows please lmk
So while I was in Xem's stream I learned that we don't know much about the game compared to other games. I will be softmodding my PS2 and messing with games soon in any way I can (just as I did with my Wii for about 2 years until that bored me, I learned a lot and I started without knowing how to softmod it, which is what I'm doing here so it may take a while to get things running how I want them to). I'm gonna be trying to learn things about UYA through whatever I can. My cousin is pretty into stuff like this and said he would like to help, so I should have something going really soon, even if it is just exporting a bunch of files and seeing what they are. What truly inspired me to look into this game was when Xem said we don't know how big the Skrunchless rail thing is. SMS and other games that have easy emulator support have much more known about them because of the codes they're able to use and extra features they can use for training. The plan is to be able to bring everything that games like Mario 64 and SMS have with emulators onto the PS2 console for easy accessability and not having to make a PS2 emulator that works until we get what we need to do things (it may seem hard to get emulator-like features onto normal console, but if I learned anything from modding Wii stuff, it's definitely possible). First step is to extract everything readable from UYA, then make everything that can't be read readable. Hopefully we can figure out more about this game through this and I hope to do the same to Ratchet 1 & 2. If people could comment everything they know about skrunchless that'd be great and would help alot, if there is anything similar to it (as in, we don't know much about it and it would help if we did know more about it) please comment it and what you know about it as well. I've been doing a lot of time attack and was wondering if maybe we could add a category for it. What I've been doing is time attack on a 100% file with whatever character I want to use (mainly Super Sonic because the times you can get are amazing), what I believe it would be is Resort Island-Radiant Emerald in Time Attack mode, we could have a normal and reverse category for this because both of those things are very different, while the 100% and any% (no OoB) runs are pretty fun, I think the challenge of beating your time and yourself without having to worry about being a character like Knuckles or having to get the chaos emeralds is the most fun way to run the game. So far I've been able to get some pretty great times because of being able to play Super Sonic in this (I just did a test run and my final RTA time across all tracks was 8:41 (from first pressing Time Attack to crossing the finish line of Radiant Emerald). I think this would be a good category to include because of the amount of fun it is to run, also even with me being a not so good runner I got 8:41 from my first real run of this, which means it's quicker than 100% and with optimization can potentially be quicker than the any% GP runs). Another great thing about this run is runners could Netplay VS. mode on Dolphin to have more practice with the run and get to see other runners play the game. If you would like I could also record a run of this (with my horrible quality webcam because I don't have a good computer, but it should be watchable). If any other runner would like to comment on why this category would be good/bad to have please do so, I would love to hear your input on this. If anyone has questions about this just comment them and I'll make sure I reply. Right after this I'm going to work on the rough draft for a rule set (not starting at Time Attack press because that adds ten seconds to the run and that's always gonna make someone mad (me)). If anyone else would try this run to make sure it works too that would be great, I mainly thought of it as an excuse to do an entire run with Super Sonic, and I hope others think that's a fun idea too.

I am going to be going for WR run today and I am not going to be able to record it. I could record it on my laptop, include the timer, and upload it to YT. It would be recorded on the TV with my laptop camera and audio would likely be cut out because of dogs and family and house noise and stuff. Just wanted to know whether I should go through that before I have everything set up for the run and stuff. Didn't realize jumping helped so I didn't do that in my first run and now I'm ready to tackle the WR so I want it to be accepted so I can stop playing this game.
