Washington, USAGuess I'll buy some tape and a bigger SD card and record it tomorrow, it's not that hard of a trick, just really hard to vacuum a key and knock on the crib one handed paying 50% attention. Here's hoping someone can make it work tonight.
The biggest problem I have is not being able to save second is my gaming setup, TV on top of freezer, only one chair and not a lot of space, I game in my garage. I shared this with you, here's hoping someone can record it if they manage to get good at timing interaction with pickups.
Literally pickup the key at the same time you knock on the crib.it skips E.Gadds lab. Vacuum the key for momentum and it will run right into you while you are knocking.
If anyone can get it to work, call it dead storage, because if you forget to make your vacuum work again, you will die.

I got the first skip, just paused the game in the first portrait ghosts room, can't use the vacuum and flashlight is permanent off. Luigi has GBHorror in hand. Will edit with upload link to picture.
(I probably can't do it with video since it's not a easy trick and I haveto restart if I miss it, playing one handed is hard.)

I'm working my way to Chauncey right now, if I can get the skip I'll take a picture, but skipping the lab visit saves a bunch of time, which is why I posted this here in the first place.
I never realized how hard it is to do this trick one handed.

(Note) Doing this skip in a run would lose time since you can't use the vacuum until you open a new dialog box, and the only one is toad with 5 boxes of dialog+forced save menu.
Another note is Luigi keeps his GB horror in his hand if you do it right.
I play on GameCube, English, no mods, regular controller, and I will post some new pics from this next start. The easiest one to do is before entering chapter 1 hallway on the top floor, just knock on the dresser while moving towards the door, if you time it right, when Luigiis next to the flower vase you will have the first possible iteration of storage.
I was playing through casually on my GameCube, which doesn't have a memory card and I can't save on so I try to skip dialog boxes and stuff, I first found I could create storage by interacting with an object the same time as a call is supposed to happen. I wanted to make sure it wasn't a one-time thing so I've just finished testing it, and it works for every call in the game.
By interacting with any searchable object while collecting keys you can skip the animation for the key, and the GB horror animation. Not only that, but if your timing is perfect you can store the calls from e.gadd after every boss (Except the second guy) which means you don't have to go through the lab scene to hand in your portraits.
Doing this to egadd, Luigi can't use the vacuum until you talk to a toad, or get a new dialog box to appear.

I always watch speed runsof my faves, and the last I saw didn't skip the labs, so I'm posting this to hopefully help get the WR time down.
