I understand the rules about using the most recent version for modded characters, but is it possible in any way, shape, or form to make a small exception for Maimy? The most recent version of Maimy (the hotfix from 2021) makes it nigh impossible to beat CEZ3.
It's because they removed the old CEZ3 cheese, where you hit the cage top, and it counts as hurting the boss. My old Maimy Any% run from 2.2.8 actually shows it in action.

As for hitting the boss with the newest version of Maimy, you may notice that when she uses the mace mid-air, she performs a spin similar to Sonic. That Spin actually has a hitbox of it's own. You'll even bounce away from the boss on landing it! It's not easy to time, but it is manageable.
So the mace itself doesn't need to hit him? I can do it with JUST the spin? It'll be tough to make it work, but I can try. Also, I'm pretty sure it was a change to the mace hitbox, because it worked in 2.2.10 until I updated Maimy.
Just did a bit of testing; it was a change to Maimy, not the boss. I went super using Pandora's Box, and THAT mace hitbox can still hit Eggman through the cage.
I have looked into this and decided to apply the filter "Mod version", it is a user defined variable so you can enter the version of mod you are using or apply the "Current", "Legacy", filters that I added for convenience to not go through all those modded characters and apply each version individually. It's just a small bit of text on your submission to say what mod version you used but the boards will stay together to avoid getting messy with segregation.

If there are no archives of the character online then you may need to DM the original creator and ask if there are any archives due to this error (or ask they change the character to work as intended here). If not and someone approaches us with the file then we can host the file on this site for access and I'll let you know it's there but for now I don't know anyone who has that version of Maimy.
