its been done in the past as a bit of a meme, but its obviously not a viable way to play
you can technically start on the finale, perform the glitch then vote to the campaign you want to do, but as this is gameplay, this would all be timed from the moment you start the finale
also a little confusing you said this was not allowed in BG DA1, when in the any% run item duping and many other uses of load manipulation (our term for the general use of save and import abuse) are used constantly throughout the run
I personally think (if the loads are consistent on the best version) that maintaining RTA timing is always the most ideal method, Removing loads can actually affect the routing in games like this, enticing players to take a route that has way more load screens, but might actually be much slower if you included loads. (this is probably not nearly as prevalent as it would be in Dark Alliance 1, but potentially still relevant).
we were debating making an extreme category with NG+ characters but never reached a conclusion on exact ruling, as well as overall not too much of an interest at the time
note it also doesnt restart if you restart campaign, for it to restart you must fully end the server

No, you cannot use loads which were attained before starting the run, we have debated an extreme category where this is allowed, but in the standard any% as well as NLM you can not use loads which were created before the timer is started
yeah agreed in a way. da2 is the better game, but da1 got a lot more attention for some reason, I know a lot of people who played da1 but never da2
just submit the run with whatever time you get im sure our lovely verifier mike will handle that for you
yessir, if you want to get a good time, you are allowed to keep them alive if you're just learning

dont take damage and dont use a weapon if i had to guess. However we have no category for that as a speedrun no, follow your own rules and if you decide to upload to youtube, be clear explaining what they are :)
alternatively you can submit the run to any category and i will than watch and verify it than create the category to go with it
I would recommend joining the discord to get quicker responses, ill make the category, but id like to see the run if possible beforehand
