I think you honestly did go overboard last night when you got me involved to that much of a point, ilias. you make it seem like i'm accusing everyone of cheating as well. You were over reacting at that vodoo drive on SA. You said one person cheated then went back 180 and said he didn't.
Basically my role in this is that i thought lelreset was editing the .dat handling files, as well as omega a year ago, which i didn't bother with. The reason i thought omega was cheating is obvious, he made many driving mistakes but still saved time in like the badlands races. Small example.
The reason i think lelreset is cheating is because he is sketchy as a person, he told me and others recently it only took him a month to learn the game, but a person (bangaranghun) told me that he was up to San Fiero in the learning process back in August. So again, it's very easy to edit the .dat handling files, Kortek did it on stream and he didn't know how a year ago when i was looking into omega.
Why lie about that? If people would lie about that then they can easily lie about anything and if they have WR people will believe them, and not the accuser.
ilias spread his points poorly but he did have a point about Kyle, like i said, i don't run the game and don't know anything about it regarding the frame limiter and shadows, etc. So i can only be neutral like i have been.

Ilias isn't pulling things out of nowhere is what people don't understand, if you look at some of the comparison videos, it is enough to understand what his claims are and they make sense. I don't run this game, i don't claim to know everything, i've given my input and tried to make logic out of why several things happen to kyle.
Things like him being faster or equally as fast when he does worse don't make sense, (comparison videos) it is indeed easy to edit the handling files, i have seen a person even do it on SA as a test without barely knowing much, and the fastest/slowest car in the game can go faster and it's not very noticable, but saves time anyway.
There are several things that are sketchy, and about him cheating in SA, i remember myself that he got sketchy times at the start of a run, 12 minutes in, and he improved his LS strangely quick, from 1:26 to 1:19, the VODs are not there anymore.
If haworth's run was accepted, i don't see any reason not to verify other runs who did the same thing, as long as it's a weather or spawn cheat, useless things like that to the run that arent really used.
You still don't get it, the reason we aren't running it (which we actually are) is because if there's no competition, there is no point in running it, viewers think it's a meme, whatever = No interest

I've been trying to ''work'' with this community for years and the only way to get your point accross is to be aggressive, and everyone else is also realizing this now even more.
I'll explain one last time what the solutions are if you couldn't tell by what everyone else was also saying this far. The solutions are simple and noone listens.
1 - Remove duping from Any%, the only runs that have it are Josh's, Omega, lel reset and you. ''run this version or you're a dumb person, so don't run the game'' isn't fair. If you're going to say it also isn't fair, then miscing the time and effort of AM across the trilogy also isn't fair.
Trevor% on V seems like it will also get removed, so if that's possible i dont see why this shouldn't be.
2- Unmisc AM so it can become more competitive again there, so everyone has an actual chance.
Everyone agrees duping is bad, annoying. It is also legitimately unfair because several people run other versions than 1.0, since there is no controller support on it, it's unstable and etc.
The game was fine for what it is before duping, if all of these points are agreed upon, it makes no sense as to why the community shouldn't do something good for a change.
That was the point of my two previous posts which you called ''bickering'', i was the only competition for Any% until the dupes which killed it for many people, which is why this category is even a thing, the best way to unmisc it is if you'd use your head and realize that you're against us, not the opposite.

What are you talking about? It already is a main thing, from 3, and VC, now S just decides it should be all miscellaneous and you agree with it to the point where it killed the category completely, as a concept. And all the time and effort people put into the runs is in the toilet.
I also still don't see how All Missions is miscellaneous, it's All STORY missions, you're still beating the game, you're not JUST doing stunt jumps, or tags, or golf, those are miscellaneous. We've went over this like 10 times but noone hears it. By definition, you're talking shit if you think spending 8 hours on something is just a scrapped away, ''fun'' run. Again, read my previous post as well.
If you can't understand the fact that this is killing an already dead community, then you shouldn't even have the voice to speak about it. The point isn't fun or money, it's being competitive and fair, you're telling me when Crook spends 14 hours on both of his AM runs combined, it was for fun and not being competitive, trying to bring this game back alive?
You don't even know what speedrunning is at this rate, i was pretty much about to get WR before duping, and now this eliminated my chances, simply because people don't have minds of their own, everyone agrees that duping is bad, but when someone speaks up about it, it just ends up being a cirlce jerk, and agreeing with whatever person seems right to them in THAT moment.
Then the next day they forget they even posted it. If you agree that AM should be a main category, but then post some bullshit reasoning for it to stay misced, you are the problem.
Why is speedrunning there in the first place? Competitiveness, that's why the leaderboards are there, and this right now is splitting up the community even more and killing it completely.
Why add AM in misc? There's already a handful of runs. Might as well add 100% in misc. I don't see how a run that is around 7 hours is miscellaneous.
There's no defined rules about the credits yet, if you're going to tell me it's how it is in 3 and VC then you shouldn't add it in misc because that's how it is for them too.
The time difference between AM and Any% is a 2-3 hour difference for the trilogy as well.
I thought it could be called All Story Missions as well, but All Missions sounds more definitive i guess. This category has been talked about for awhile and i think it already has interest.
I'll do a run soon and see how it is, i think it's going to need some re-routing a bit.

I know a few others who would run it, so we'll see. But why is 100 tags a category if only Haworth ran it? It wasnt until recently that Crook and Lel reset did runs. I'm assuming you'll say that it's ''misc'' but, i don't really see a difference, because it's just 1 click away lol.
Also isn't driving school marked on the map permanently? I know the other schools aren't, i dont remember if it actually disappears when you're out of SF.
