I brought this up in the main discord server but I want to change the rules of IL runs here.
If you read the rules under all of the IL categories, it states that all levels must start as Small Luigi and that all IW categories state that all levels must be completed, including the Any% section of the IWs. The IL leaderboards were created back in mid 2016 by somebody who is no longer a moderator of our leaderboards and made the rules just like that.
The reason I want this rule change is because every other IL boards on the other NSMB games allow levels to start with power-ups and I want this game to follow up with those as well. Let me know about some possible feedback here.
Also,While We're At It,can't We Have A Separate Category For Beating IL But As Nabbit? It's A Bit Strange That IL Runs Did While Playing as Nabbit Can Compete with The Ones While Playing As Luigi and The Toads!
@Sanicbiscuit There already are sub categories to separate Luigi and Nabbit runs.
@Th3Re4l Nothing. All current runs will still exist.
Considering that there's no restrictions on New Super Luigi U IL board in New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, I think the change is a great idea.
@pretends2know An essencial button to play this game broke on my Wii U so I can't beat them unfornetly.
A) you can change the controls, B) every button has 2 corrosponding buttons, C) either way oof
The button I'm talking about can't be changed and what I meant by "broken" is that it's like the console thinks I am ALWAYS pressing the button when I am not pressing it, and so the corresponding button doesn't do anything too. (I am talking about that button that does the spin in the air and that does the spin jump (ZL)).
Because the game thinks I'm continuisly holding the ZL button, the ZR button doesn't have any effect.
Alright, the rule change for the IL boards are now in effect. You may now do IL attempts starting with any power-up except for a star or a p-acorn and for IW attempts, Any% no longer requires every single level to be done. Thank you all for the feedback. All current runs will not be affected at all.
