Your run helped me realize that power bombs cause one of the RAM addresses I use to have a value it usually only has when picking up a major upgrade. After testing it a bit, I found that wave beam shots do the same thing. Annoying.
The Zazabi split was a weird value that happens when you spin jump up after the door, which I fixed in the update I just put out. I'm hoping the Ridley split is just the same issue, but I still need to test it.
Hopefully I can finish the bug-fixing and Animals split option this weekend. Hundo and the US rom is gonna take some time, but I'll get to it.
