I've gotten it to work a majority of the time, unless the predalien is close to the right side edge of the platform you spawn on. If that happens, he'll land behind you after you jump to the platform and mess up the setup. To get around that, I usually lure him further back on the platform and shoot him before jumping over.
In any case, I'm probably going to remove the category and runs from the leaderboard. If you guys want to keep track of this "category" on your own, by all means do so.
I don't see a reason for this to be included in the categories, especially when you have to use console commands.
I'd recommend Columbus and Cincinnati, since there are several options for hotels close to their respective airports, and both have a number of options for places to eat. While the airport close to Cincinnati is actually in Kentucky, you are a short drive from the downtown area, have a fairly large mall within walking distance of some of the hotels, and about twenty minutes from Kings Island.
I'm interested in the spot, what day are you arriving?
Thank you for clarifying this. I would, however, like to point something out from your run: https://abyssaldision.s-ul.eu/HJoREs00. When you get over the ledge with the rock, wouldn't this be considered hovering / item hopping?
The run should be single segment.
As a relative newcomer to Trespasser, I was wondering what makes a run be considered hoverless. For instance, I don't see many differences between Pjxot's and Kotti's that would warrant them being in separate categories. Not knowing any better, it seems to me that Jezs just wanted to keep his BKT by creating an arbitrary category.
I posted a set of example splits for the old and new routes in Resources. There isn't a Discord, but Val, Die_Mann, Slayer, and myself among others can answer any questions you have about the game.
The only other categories that would be feasible would be ones that involve getting the other four endings (I'm leaving out the other true ending). I could maybe see doing the main quest line, but you are still going to see luck being factor getting through some of the areas besides the Sarcophagus in an efficient manner (Bandit Base and Wild Territory come to mind).
I'm arriving on the 21st, and leaving on the 27th. Looking for 3 roommates.
I'm also for having a separate category for Hardcore, since as Anthopants said, it isn't a meme category. I think expanding the number of categories would be good, since it would allow people to try something other than constantly grind any% runs on Easy. I'm more than willing to do a Hardcore run, if not enough runners is the main justification for not adding it.
I don't mind, but as Slayer said, it may raise some criticism from outside the community about modifying the current patch.
Of all the communities, I would have never excepted to see this kind of autism in Tal'set's Big Dino Adventure.
The skip works from both areas in the red forest where you can jump from trees over the fence. When you are close to the level change trigger, the emissions will kill you if you aren't at nearly full health and not bleeding. At the trigger itself, an emission will more than likely kill you if it goes off as you reach the level change prompt. That's why when I try it, I usually wait before exiting the level so it won't be an instant death.
What you could do for the boards is have pc, n64, and dreamcast with the main categories as any%, 100%, and 100% with skips. At this point, having upgrades as standard would be conducive, with no upgrades in these categories being placed in the miscellaneous category or renamed to low%.
Amateur, SemiPro and SemiPro with the skip can be miscellaneous categories with their low% categories included as well. While you have potentially 7-9 miscellaneous categories per platform, it's out of sight unless you want to see it.
Personally, I think all runs should require a video if they want to be verified. In regards to this, I still would like to see the leader board redone in order to have separate categories for the console and pc versions.
Alright, I'll look into it. But by the looks of it, manually timing the loading screens (minus synchronization) and subtracting it from the final time would probably be sufficient for the time being.
If this is still in the works, I would be interested in using this.
Additionally, would a specific patch have to be used, or is that not a factor?
