With the demo of Bravely Default II coming out, I think now would be a good time to finally have a server for speedrunning the Bravely Default games: https://discord.gg/2kdbnCR
So I've been trying to find the best way for me to capture footage from my SNES for OBS. I should note that I don't have any CRTs, instead just my computer monitor and the screen I use for the gameplay, a 20-inch 720p LG monitor. Also, my capture card is an internal one, the Elgato HD60 Pro, specifically.
So, from my searching around, my plan was to get these two parts: A RetroTINK-2X ( http://www.retrotink.com/ )and an HD RETROVISION SNES YPbPr Component Cable ( https://bit.ly/2XpSNQi ). So, connect the HD component cable into the RetroTINK, then the RT into my Elgato and the Elgato output to my LG monitor.
So, does this all check out? I'm not used to capturing retro consoles, so I want to know for sure if there might be some TV/capture card incompatibility first, or something.
The timing rules for Color Splash have been updated: Time now ends when Huey explodes shortly after his final textbox, instead of when "The End" appears after the credits. All run times, Any% and All Flags, (including obsoleted runs), have been changed to reflect this.

The timing rules for Sticker Star have been updated: Time now ends after closing the final textbox, from Kersti, instead of when the lights turn off after the credits. All run times, Any% and All Flags (including obsoleted runs) have been changed to reflect this.

The PS2 version of the game, besides the better graphics, has differences in the levels, some layouts are different (like the mad doctor's castle, which is completely different), and the "Inside Wall" level is completely absent as well. This applies to the PS1 version too; for example, Pinball's design is radically altered. Can separate categories be made for these versions?
Please post any interesting findings here!
To start this off, yesterday Phatank and Kain found House Skip, which as the title implies, skips having to go into Kate's house and find the flashlight + key. Here is a demonstration video I made:
Not very hard to pull off. After performing the glitch just sprint outside the borders of the level to the little building with the collectable that ends the level, click on the brick wall until you get it.
Title. Allowed or not? Would be great for a long game like this.

This should be allowed, right?
