I will look into that when I get chance, and see if your timing method is the way to go. We all need to be timing our runs the same so it's accurate.
It has been brought to my attention that we have some different timing methods on the boards. I will therefore be making the rules more clear "timer stops when Bosc cut scene is activated", this is as soon as Blasto starts moving into position thus the scene is activated.
Personally this is a more sensible way of timing runs, and makes sense within completion of the game. So I will therefore be checking over all runs on the board in my spare time, and retiming them to make sure they are accurate. If anyone has any problems you may post here and discuss about it, please keep it chill.
I had my slim ps2 model arrive today, and Blasto runs super fast. I compared it to emulator from a video on youtube and it seems same speed but I cannot accurately test this as my computer isn't powerful enough to run emulator.
Could anyone who has a slim model who also can run emulator test them to compare speeds properly? I am certain they are the same, but it's best to check first. Thank you.

Ermmmm, guys I was wondering about purchasing a region free PS2 to speedrun Blasto, as the PS1 is terrible for it. I'm wondering if it's possible to swim out of bounds get to the exit, and when you go to Spire Maze somehow bring the glitch there with you. Basically Spire Maze flooded. On another note Connor, I have a request, could you activate the water glitch on Bosc's Fortress and swim to Spire Maze from there? I'd be interested to know, and maybe we could explore some things there.
I remember there being when you fall down and die on Spire Maze a ground area which you hear Blasto hit and break his back, wondering if we could get to it with the swim glitch?

If you want SaintConnor you can use my run as a reference, there's a lot of strats, clips and interesting things in the All Babes route. Just remember not to forget the babes on episode 3 like I did then lose loads of time lol. I'm sure that my route can be improve, as it just doesn't seem fully optimal with those strats, new ones could be implemented for sure. As for checking submissions, I always watch the run from beginning to end, it would be even more important to do that with these types of categories, as I proved to myself I even forgot some babes and had to backtrack. It's a big category, and a lot to do
I just wanna say that I do not climb on the thing to activate that glitch, I just jump in the corner part and hold down as I hit the pool. So I dunno if climbing makes it easier for you, but for me, it works this way (though not consistent)

Makes sense, and of course you do see the number of babes from each one you save, so as long as every level shows "0 babes remaining" then that is verification as you said yourself.
Basically I wanted to buy a PS2 that would run my NTSC games as mine only supports PAL. However I believe this console has been modded to be region free, would a modded console be allowed to be used to run games if it is only to allow certain formats to be played? So you wouldn't say you need to go to Harem to activate the alternative ending or cutscenes to have met the percentage requirement? Have to think about rerouting this, and working on the rule change
But the thing is you know you have all babes when you activate the harem, and the babes strip Blasto down to his underwear. There's different dialog during the first cut scene of Bosc before you fight him, where he acknowledges you being in your underwear. Not sure about that doing anything to the respawn points, I don't think it makes a difference there.
Forgot to mention the final scene of the game, it shows Blasto in his underwear too. This is when you beat bosc and you're shown the ending of the game of him escaping the place before it's blown up.
I was wondering if we could work on defining what this category is, as I put a run out and it seems like beating Bosc doesn't seem like it's part of the percentage in the category. It would make more sense for the run to be complete when Blasto enters the Harem after rescuing all the babes from there. Need opinions from other mods and anyone else on this
That glitch is a run killer for sure, you can make it more consistent with practice, but it'll never be fully consistent.
