I will be honest, I have thought about posting something like this in the forums before, so I'm totally in favor of merging the difficulty categories
Thank you! <3
If you have any suggestions of splits to create, just send me a message! I can try making a split for the very short City 2 if anyone wants so
I've been working on it for a whole week, testing it heavily and even staying up until 3am doing coding and fixing errors, but I've finished an autosplitter for Dogurai... for BOTH endings!
Just add it to your liveslit and fiddle with the settings! You can even select when and where to split so you can have your own customized timer! Heck, if you want you don't even need to have splits, just one timer counting it all and it will stop when the ending of the game comes up!
Even though I've tested it heavily I appreciate any and all feedback, I'll do my best in fixing any errors. Also, if you have suggestions of improvements, feel free to speak up~!
So... was it ever decided if we should start the timer on the main menu or the difficulty select (my preference being the latter)? I'm just curious because I've been getting the itch to speedrun Dogurai again
Translating if needed, because the lack of proper accent marks might mess up with any Google Translator usage: "Is the Android epsxe port valid?"
I've noticed some time ago that a level will ALWAYS load faster if you have played it before in the same day. As in, as long as you don't restart your game (by closing and opening it) you can always use other save files to pre-load the levels for faster loading.
I was wondering if that'd be okay or if you folks think it'd be better to have a standard for this, like having to close and re-open the game before every run so the loading time is at its default for everyone. I would even record the loading times on my computer to see how many seconds I'd need to add to my run if necessary, so folks are all on the same playing field.
The other way is just having save files backed up for the game, load them up, pre-load every level and then start your runs for the day, which sounds a bit too much trouble for newcomers.
I've been wanting to run this game ever since I saw it present on the website, but I noticed the Any% is just using the character select screen to play the last section
Could we maybe have an Any% category for playing the WHOLE game, from beginning to end, with a new save file?
Due to how easier and faster the game gets when you play as Rider, I think it'd be wise to have the main game separated in four categories:
Bones - Bad Ending Bones - Good Ending Rider - Bad Ending Rider - Good Ending
I'd really like to know that as well =/ Some of the tricks for the game are pretty easy to do, but it's hard to be consistent at them when the only tutorial just shows someone's hands and the game on the background, instead of an in-depth explanation of visual/audio cues to pay attention to
Strange, it still doesn't split. The timer starts by itself, but it doesn't split.
EDIT: Today it started to work again, sorry to bother!
As far as I know, any update was ages ago
I had it set to real time from the beginning. As in, even before this suddenly happened
So here's the problem: I'm using LiveSplit while I speedrun The Witness. So far so good, have practiced around ten times already, my PB getting smaller with each time.
But suddenly the autosplitter made by darkid just... stopped! I didn't change anything in the settings at all, it just stopped working. You can set the timer to start automatically at the start of the game, but that's it! It's not splitting when it should be anymore. I tried deleting and re-extracting LiveSplit from the .rar file but it didn't work.
Any idea of what might be the problem?

Hello and a pleasure to meet you! I'll make sure to see your videos of Submachine speedruns, that is one of my favorite flash game series!
Good morning, good afternoon and good evening, depending on the time you read this. A pleasure to meet y'all and to start being a part of this community.
Always loved to speedrun by myself as a child (of course, never doing crazy stunts like you folks!) and it's only logical I'll try to do the same but better now as an adult. Seeing the crazy stunts you folks do was just marvelous and made me wanna try too!
I even already have a speedrun video under my name, in the game The Witness =)
