In march of next year, i plan to do a sonic 3 air tournament where first place wins 25 dollars, second wins 15 and third place wins 10 dollars. the category will be sonic and tails glitchless, and each runner can choose if they will run Beat The Game (bad ending) or New Game+ (starting off with hyper sonic)

nothing definitive yet, but i'm looking to organize a glitchless tournament for sonic 3 air that'll take place in either november or december, and i'm currently looking for volunteers. more details can be found here: https://forms.gle/tGxC52D3Rmm6HfX99
would anyone be interested in a glitchless tourney? and if so, any suggestions on when it should be done?
i've never organized a speedrun tournament before and i'd like to know what's needed to organize a tournament that's fun for participants and spectators alike
the title says it all (by dead runs i mean runs that can't PB but that i wanna continue anyway)
yet another general question, which is in the title. no one's forced or expected to reply but any answers are appreciated (by completing runs i mean doing no resets)
another user already asked a question like this a few days ago, but, for the sake of making a youtube video about this
how do you go about learning a speedrun at a top level from scratch, learning the mechanics and the movement, as well as the cues, setups and tricks? (including specific practicing methods and learning techniques)
how do you properly optimize your movement? what do you do when you're finding it difficult to replicate what other top runners do? what are your prefered (detailed) practicing methods for improving at a game? what do you do when you're struggling with a trick or technique but don't wanna resort to not using it?
if you try and do LR2 skip as solo sonic, you need to do a stair clip in LR1 that for some reason just seems to not work most of the time even if you get it. no one is forced or expected to help me with this but any help is greatly appreciated cuz i've had runs that lost like 2+ minutes to this and it's so frustrating cuz idk what to do (also i forgot the title of this post said it was meant to be a question lol)
i mean, obviously going for MH2 zip would be a glitch, but is killing the boss too fast allowed in glitchless if you just don't do any shenanigans regarding messing with the level layout to do MH2 zip
what the title said, and i felt like asking on the forums would be better than DMing someone cuz 1- it'd be weird if i DM'd zaxon or zyzex, you know and 2- gotta use this forum i guess since it's empty, bur whatever
huds said we could have one someday and he hasn't had one with me yet so it'd be cool to do one in may or june, idk
i did an HC2 IL where i used a checkpoint but the thing is, i did it to set the trick up almost out of necessity cuz otherwise it's harder to set up since tails will be in a bad position but someone could use checkpoints to abuse them and get perfect runs, so imo you'd have to make a rule where using checkpoints is only allowed to setup tricks or otherwise my run is invalid or it's valid but checkpoint abuse is also valid, but i guess it's up to the CE mods
it's literally gonna be free on epic games next week
lately there's a bunch of people who have left SRC, but idk why they'd do that to begin with
this tourney isn't hosted by me or anything, but i guess since no one has talked about it here, i might as well just tell everyone who doesn't know about it
original message by BenInSweden cuz i'm too lazy to post the links and stuff by myself:
