I made a guide on setting up everything in order to run CVX (Door Skip) for the PS3 Emulator.

Let's admit it, this board had been dead for a while, except for the recent "Dollhouse" DLC and I had an idea that might breathe new life into this game. Would it be possible to maybe add an IGT tab to each category so we can keep the ones that use RTA but have ones that use the game's built-in timer (since it's more accurate and stops on the door opening animations and having to downpatch the game before they added those is tedious) Then the final time can be whatever the IGT reads right as you hit the last door of the category (Door 50, door 250,etc). It's just a thought and idea I was having since I have most of the records and it would be fun to compete against others again. Let me know what y'all think.

Ok, so I dunno how I did it but I managed to completely make the first Barry "Chris's blood" cutscene completely skip. I ran to the right side of the table as soon as I could take control, then was messing with my controls for a second and then when I ran to the camera angle change, Barry was just hanging out next to the door on the right. Completely bypassing the cutscene. Once I did first zombie cutscene and exited then he did the regular "let me take care of this" cutscene. Has anyone else seen this?

We've decided not to ban it. We feel that it is not something that is not adequate enough (as far as time save goes) to worry about. This "strat" isn't going to get you WR. Even with 1 changes it's 5 seconds max time save. Even if a runner did do it and then their run was garbage, it wouldn't even matter. Having clean lines, good inventory and an overall feel for the game is what's going to get you ahead, not some silly strat. If people wanna use it, go ahead, but it's not going to wreck the RE2 speedrunning community by having it. If you feel above using it, that's your business, but as of right now, it stays. Please respect this decision in an adult way.

Hey, I was just curious as what happened with the previous first place holder with the 3:26. He's completely off the boards. I'm assuming something was wrong with the video or he deleted it himself. Sorry if this is weird, I'm just morbidly curious cause that bumped me to second place. Lol.

So I got the Dolphin Autosplitter to work and ran Leon A today and got a pretty decent PB. However, at the end of the run. The timer didn't stop when the FMV started. It just kept going past the credits and then reset once it went back to the main menu. I lost all my splits so I have two questions.

A)Can I manually re-enter my split times and save it. (I have video proof of the splits for authenticity)

B)Has this happened to anyone else before?

I'd also like to note that I took special care to make sure the split names were exactly as they were written in the file. They're identical to the Sourcenext version of Leon A.

So, I was wondering how one would add a new criteria to a game's speedrunning community.

More specifically, Resident Evil 2.

Now, I see there are speedruns for every system, difficulty, etc.

I have recently beaten all 4 scenarios of RE2 w/ just one hand on the controller. (Video proof w/ webcam)

First time around I wasn't going for speed, but I feel like this might be an interesting challenge to the game if I was actually trying to do it fast.

I'm not sure if this is something anyone would pick up.
