Out of bounds glitches in Old Clockworks?

I'm currently attempting a coinless run of the entire game, but I've run into a major hurdle. Old Clockworks C-3 has rafters that Luigi must walk across, collecting coins as he does so.

As best I can tell, the coins don't have physics enabled and can't be blown around, so getting them off the rafter via traditional means is a no-go.

So that leads me to the speedrunning community, given their knack for finding glitches, advantageous or not.

Any suggestions for bypassing these via an out-of-bounds clip, overloading collision or similar?

As far as I know, we haven´t yet found a way to skip those coins, since it´s still allowed to collect them in a Low% run, which you can see in the Category Extensions (as long as you lose them in a ghost battle afterwards).

However, Banananana, our main glitch hunter, has been theorizing about using OoB in Clockworks with the help of a spool, which you can find in the Warehouse. (Or with a bomb in Finishing Room, but that probably wouldn´t help skipping these pesky coins.) But I don´t know how testing this went. It´s worth mentioning that Purple Toad Skip in E-2 has been discovered this January, the first ever viable OoB route in Dark Moon Speedrunning History, so OoB might hold a lot for the future. But Banananana should probably give his final input here.

I've tried a pretty good amount to get out of bounds on floor 1 or 2 but the options are extremely limited. I've never even really gotten close. The method of going oob with an object like the spool usually just results in Luigi falling oob and respawning back in bounds, which isn't helpful in this scenario as we'd need to get to the door. Except I haven't even been able to get oob at all. The only place I've gotten oob was in the drafting office from the sliding wall pushing me oob but that was a one off and I just fell through the floor and immediately spawned back in bounds. It just doesn't seem like getting oob is feasible at the moment

Noted. Nonetheless I'll spend some time messing with geometry as well and see if there's somewhere in the area that has been missed - unlikely, but a fresh pair of eyes might turn up something.

Any recommendations or typical methods for clipping through walls short of dropping objects or using moving objects to push Luigi through the wall?

Another question, though I'm assuming this has been tried as well - how about moving the spool or another object out of bounds and into a different room and trying to clip from there? It should be possible given that E. Gadd's portals can move objects, though whether or not that's a separate scenario altogether I don't know.

I've seen in the Mario wiki that there are instances of pushing objects into neighboring rooms, but they unload upon switching rooms (most likely as an optimization). So it may not be possible to change an object's "assigned" room without said portals.

The main method of going oob with light objects like the spool is to hold the object parallel to a wall and then holding R and walking into the wall. I think I've attached a video example of the most promising areas of warehouse but this website is kind of buggy. Also you can't send objects through rooms because once you go through a door all objects despawn regardless of where they are

It seems like the video didn't attach but it did give me this link so maybe it'll work

I spent an hour trying to get oob in clockworks and the farthest I gotten was you would be close to the giant safe with the gold spool you would be lined up next the wood shaft that holds the second floor and you would move left and luigi would be dragged up the giant gears drop the spool and fall.
